Thanks, JamesG! I'll get Blu-Ray someday, I hope.

Today, you can't go wrong with getting a stand-alone Blu-ray Panasonic for $150.00. They went down a lot from when they first came out as they went for $700.00

If you're wondering they do play regular DVDs.

My Blu-ray is the PlayStation 3 which goes for about $300.00 today. If you are a gamer it is a HUGE bonus to get it for its Blu-ray capability.

PS3s were also the cheapest Blu-ray players when they were first introduced.

Also, you really need to have an HD-TV to get the full experience that Blu-rays have to offer. That's what they are made for.
