For my 300th post, I'd like to start a new game. Now, make sure you're strapped in because this may be a little racy or even nauseating for some.
I am going (each week, ideally) to select a pair (male/female) of castaways excluding the Howells together. The Howells, however, can each be paired with someone else. The question for players is, excluding ethical scruples (such as maritial fidelity, preserving "friendship," "virginity," whatever.....) just based on the romantic potential of these particular two castaways and their feelings, what is the "farthest" that you see this pairing going romantically. Your answer could range anywhere from "nowhere" to "marriage." The goal is to eke out the most potential you can see...so think about it.....

OK: for the first entry, what do you see as the romantic max for:

MARYANN AND THE SKIPPER

I could see them going to a movie or a hamburger joint together, but I don't see any sparks between them.

I'm kind of with you. If I stretch it to the farthest reaches of my imagination, I can see a "date," probably to cheer the Skipper up for some reason because he is a nice guy, but with nothing physical happening except maybe a friendly hug.

I'm with you too. Although Mary Ann is part of the Skipper's "harem" in his dream in "St. Gilligan and the Dragon," so is Mrs. Howell! Other than that dream, he never shows any desire for her. He says he's been acting as her big brother, and it's true. As for Mary Ann, she says the Skipper is too old for her.

She is very fond of him, though. My two favourite Skipper/Mary Ann moments are in "Pass the Vegetables, Please," where the Skipper is very protective of her and makes her walk so she won't become ill from the radiation, and "Court Martial" where Mary Ann heroically leaps on the Skipper and prevents him from jumping off the cliff. Yay, Mary Ann!
