TVFactFan 08-01-2010, 10:32 AM You eat Papa John's inside of an Amusement Park?????????
I was STUNNED yesterday when I saw that Papa Johns is inside Six Flags Great Adventure. Why is it in there?? Who wants to eat something they can get anytime when they are not at a amusement park? And Yes People were standing in line to eat Papa John's at a amusement Park
I guess McDonald's Wil be next. I thought that the purpose of going to an amusement Park was to eat things you nornally don't eat???????-lol
MickeyMac 08-01-2010, 02:34 PM That dont surprise me none. Fast food chains are everywhere, even in hospitols.

Johnny Rockets and Ben and Jerry's was in there too. Six Flags in NJ is TRASH and I will never go there again.
gilligan fanatic 08-01-2010, 02:39 PM They had a report on the local news here recently about how many heath violations the amusement parks and stadium concession stands had. In some ways I would feel a little "safer" eating Papa John's as opposed to a place just in the stadium/amusement park.

I just feel they make enough money and need to stay away from amusement parks
JamesG 08-01-2010, 03:04 PM I'm thinking maybe because of sponsorship... Papa John's may be a Six Flags sponsor so they allow them to have a location inside.
Other theme parks have other restaurant names inside... like I know Disney has a McDonald's cart that only sells french fries.

I bought some fries from a place I never heard of before-lol
GARFIELDKOOL 08-01-2010, 06:41 PM What's the difference, Solomon? People are going to eat whatever, wherever. Having been to Toronto's Skydome a few times (now Roger's Centre) they have a Mcdonalds there. You wouldn't believe the amount of people that go there and eat McDonalds while watching a sporting event!
Solomon, you of all people should know a big name food franchise is going to attract people wherever they go. Pizza is a big sell at any amusement park, so why does it surprise you that Papa John's is at Six Flags?

I'm not talking about a sporting event, I'm talking about an amusement park. A place that you will not be that often. You can go to a sporting event al year around but only 4 to 5 months out the year you can go to a theme park. So you should be eating food that you don't get to eat that often.

You must don't get out that often if you think amusement parks don't sell pizza. Having been to many amusement parks myself, you can expect to see pizza being served.

I'm saying that I would rather buy pizza from a place that is not part of a chain. Just some place in a amusementpark with a sign that says-"PIZZA"

I get what you're saying. My thought is why eat something that you can have any day. People should try to eat new things or things that are strickly amusment park or fair foods.

I was stunned when I saw my friend standing in the Papa John's Line. I was like-"why the hell are you eating papa john's here??????-lol

Wait. What where you doing at Six Flags? I thought you did not like amusement parks and rollercoaster’s. Did you ride any rides? Or did you Play games and watch the shows?

A lot of my coworkers decided that we should go since we get along so well but I should have stayed home because six flags is not for a causal rider. Plus they took one of my rides out of the park called the "falling star" which was there the last time I was at the park in 2002. I see the rolling thunder is still there and that ride was there in 1989-lol

Aww, Look at you gettin out and about.

Another that pissed me off is they don't sell pepsi at six flags-lol
cyberalias81 08-01-2010, 10:55 PM At least with Papa John's you either know if it's good or not before you buy it, unlike some generic "pizza"
OH Nuts! 08-02-2010, 04:08 PM Doesn't surprise me that there are chains galore at Amusement Parks....well I wouldn't eat at them anyways bec. (1) the food is usually exhoribitantly priced and (2) most fast food isn't good for me (3) the last place I would buy pizza is at an amusement park. I can't have pizza very often but WHEN I do I want REALLY GOOD pizza (not Papa John's, which to my taste buds is half a rung above what you get in the freezer section at the supermarket) . If I went to an amusement park I'd pack my own lunch in a thermal bag, save a lot of $ and most importantly , eat stuff that was nutritious.
TVFactFan 08-02-2010, 08:09 PM I don't I ever ate pizza at an amusement park but if I decided to it wouldn't be frpm Papa Johnnie-lol
kev411 08-03-2010, 08:21 PM There pizza is alright, but they put to much sauce on it.
OH Nuts! 08-03-2010, 09:50 PM I don't I ever ate pizza at an amusement park but if I decided to it wouldn't be frpm Papa Johnnie-lol
And I don't blame you LOL!
Tweety 08-03-2010, 10:50 PM How do you know that the people who ate at Papa John's haven't also eaten other stuff before and after that? Maybe that's their meal for the day, but they snack on all of the "fun" stuff while they're just walking around.
I'm not in favor of the federal government OR other individuals telling people what they should and shouldn't eat at amusement parks. It's their money, let 'em spend it however they choose.
It costs money to have a concession at a Six Flags park. Papa John's paid the price back in 2006

I'm not either; everything is a choice; and it is misguided, to say the least, to try to dictate to others what they must eat. I have no desire to be a fast food Carrie Nation. As unhealthy as I think most fast/junk food is, I admit much of it is tasty. Papa Johns, however, is not all that - at least to my taste buds. But I guess enough folks like it, otherwise PJ would have to shut down at SF.
I AM glad, though, that the calories, sodium levels, carbs. etc. have to be posted here in NYC. I like having full disclosure so I can make an informed choice based on the facts. If others choose to make a different choice than me, I'm not going to wag a finger - I have no right. But for me, its not worth getting diabetes so I avoid fast food joints in general.
