This schedule make a bit more since now that more shows start at :00, and not :30. However, why not put According to Jim at 1:30pm too, and put another The Office at 3pm? A little messy in some places, but it is a bit of an improvement from the current schedule, right?
Pavan 07-27-2010, 12:55 PM I think they only can air one airing of The Office daily, probably because there is a stack on Tuesday primetime.
TBS knows how to make a good schedule - only bummer is Home Improvement hardly airing. Its morning airings on TBS are certainly better than TV Land's 3am ones.
TVFactFan 07-27-2010, 01:13 PM Even though the fall lineup up is GARBAGE, atleast I have something to watch on labor day.........................The Office marathon
Pavan 07-27-2010, 01:29 PM Home Improvement will be airing just one time a week, though. Saturday nights at 5:30am (early Sunday mornings).
benjamoon 07-27-2010, 01:49 PM I don't like this schedule as much as the current one - it's sad to see Just Shoot Me and Home Improvement benched to weekends and "The Office" doesn't fit at 3:30, it seems randomly thrown in there
Pavan 07-27-2010, 02:01 PM I don't think The Office is doing too well, though. It started at 6:30 last fall then it was moved to 5:30 and now it is moving two hours back to 3:30. I knew this would be a bad pick-up since it doesn't fit their other comedies. I guess it is best suited in primetime, like Tuesday nights. Maybe they can pair it with Earl late nights (if they are allowed to air it post 11pm), as oddly enough Earl seems to me doing ok at 12am after bombing at 7:30pm.
Nick@Nite 07-27-2010, 02:13 PM Ugh, I wish Yes, Dear was at 8am instead of 9 so I could at least watch it when I wake up. I really wanted it to stay at 1 though. I know YD moved to 1 Jan/Feb, what time was it on in the fall?
Pavan 07-27-2010, 02:19 PM Yes, Dear aired in Fall 2009 at 11:30am and 12pm.
Nick@Nite 07-27-2010, 02:38 PM Thanks!
What about Peachtree? (TBS For Canadians!!! ) Do you know what their lineup will look like?
tbswatcher 07-27-2010, 04:19 PM I really like the chunk of shows from 5pm to 8pm. 7:30pm the most. American Dad is one of my favorite shows. But I am surprised they didn't put Family Guy on daily to put with American Dad. I would have done 7:00pm Family Guy and 7:30pm American Dad.
GolfDude 07-27-2010, 06:16 PM there will be some sort of change in november when conan comes in and pushes lopez to midnight..
Home Improvement will be airing just one time a week, though. Saturday nights at 5:30am (early Sunday mornings).Yeah, I should have said weekend mornings. It's a shame it can't find success right now in syndication. Maybe WGN America should pick it back up or it should go back to Nick at Nite. Then again, it doesn't fit too well on TBS anymore - the main focus seems to be more on late 90s-present sitcoms now. So it may not be just ratings.
I can't believe SBTB is still on TBS. It's been airing since I can remember
Jerryt 07-27-2010, 08:20 PM Yeah, I should have said weekend mornings. It's a shame it can't find success right now in syndication. Me too, Family Matters could be a good SBTB replacement
bliggenstrauff 07-27-2010, 10:00 PM Yeah, the schedule's mostly good, but stinks about Home Improvement and Just Shoot Me. Home Improvement's just gonna be in late nights now on both channels.
TVFactFan 07-27-2010, 10:26 PM Me too, Family Matters could be a good SBTB replacement
Why when it's on N@N?

I prefer the schedule they have right now to the fall 2010 schedule. Home Improvement getting shafted to Sat at 530AM is pretty terrible, considering its being screwed on TV Land as well. I think it's a great show and deserves a good timeslot, if not on TBS, then somewhere else. Why not Spike TV? Could pair with Married with Children and fit the macho theme they try to employ.
Also, is this not the choppiest, strangest schedule you've ever seen?
I'd do this:
6:00 AM Married... with Children
6:30 AM Married... with Children
7:00 AM Saved By The Bell
7:30 AM Saved By The Bell
8:00 AM Saved By The Bell
8:30 AM Saved By The Bell
9:00 AM Fresh Prince
9:30 AM Fresh Prince

2:00 PM Everybody Loves Raymond
2:30 PM Everybody Loves Raymond
3:00 PM Everbody Loves Raymond
3:30 PM Everybody Loves Raymond
4:00 PM Friends (replaces Everybody Loves Raymond)
4:30 PM Friends
5:00 PM House of Payne
5:30 PM Meet the Browns
6:00 PM Seinfeld
6:30 PM Seinfeld
7:00 PM The Office
7:30 PM American Dad
8:00 PM Primetime - Family Guy (Mon); The Office 8-10/Family Guy 10-11 (Tues); House of Payne 8-9/Meet the Browns 9-11 (Wed); tbs Movie Extra 8-10/Family Guy 10-11 (Thurs); American Dad 8-9 (replaces Family Guy)/ Dinner and a Movie (Fri)

3:00 AM Movie
5:00 AM Married... with Children
5:30 AM Married... with Children
I won't really complain about primetime and latenight. It's really the fact that their daytime schedule - they're airing 4 episodes of Raymond but only 3 in a row then one random one later. They do that with a few of their shows and are showing 3 episodes of Fresh Prince but putting Yes, Dear in between that and SBTB which doesn't fit at all. It's just very awkward, in my opinion. Although, they do have the best combination of sitcoms on any cable network right now :)
PS So happy to see that Saved by the Bell is still airing from 7-9AM. I've been watching it since 1999 at 7am on TBS. I was just thinking this morning is there any other show that has aired in syndication on the SAME channel AND in the SAME timeslot for so many years?
Nick@Nite 07-28-2010, 03:26 PM I'd do this:
November
6:00 AM Saved By The Bell
6:30 AM Saved By The Bell
7:00 AM Fresh Prince
7:30 AM Fresh Prince
8:00 AM Fresh Prince
8:30 AM Fresh Prince
9:00 AM Just Shoot Me
9:30 AM Just Shoot Me
10:00 AM Home Improvement
10:30 AM Home Improvement
11:00 AM Everybody Loves Raymond
11:30 AM Everybody Loves Raymond
12:00 PM According to Jim
12:30 PM According to Jim
1:00 PM Yes, Dear
1:30 PM Yes, Dear
2:00 PM King of Queens
2:30 PM King of Queens
3:00 PM Everbody Loves Raymond
3:30 PM Everybody Loves Raymond
4:00 PM Friends
4:30 PM Friends
5:00 PM House of Payne
5:30 PM Meet the Browns
6:00 PM Seinfeld
6:30 PM Seinfeld
7:00 PM The Office
7:30 PM The Office
8:00 PM Primetime - Family Guy (Mon); The Office 8-10/Family Guy 10-11 (Tues); House of Payne 8-9/Meet the Browns 9-11 (Wed); Movie 8-10/Family Guy 10-11 (Thurs); American Dad 8-9/Movie (Fri)
11:00 PM Conan (Mon-Thurs); Movie cont. (Fri)
12:00 AM Lopez Tonight (Mon-Thurs); Movies (Fri)
1:00 AM My Name is Earl (Mon-Thurs); Movies (Fri)
1:30 AM My Name is Earl (Mon-Thurs); Movies (Fri)
2:00 AM Sex And The City (Mon-Thurs); Movies (Fri)
2:30 AM Sex And The City (Mon-Thurs); Movies (Fri)
3:00 AM Movie
5:00 AM Married... with Children
5:30 AM Married... with Children
I like all of these suggestions more. I hate when networks air shows back to back from :30-:30. I prefer them starting on the hour over the half hour. I agree, very choppy.
PS So happy to see that Saved by the Bell is still airing from 7-9AM. I've been watching it since 1999 at 7am on TBS. I was just thinking this morning is there any other show that has aired in syndication on the SAME channel AND in the SAME timeslot for so many years?
I'm not sure who would hold the record, but I would nominate CKVR-TV in Barrie, Ont. For almost 30 years, from roughly the late '70s to 2005, they ran "Leave It To Beaver" every weekday at 12 noon, until it was finally (and stupidly) replaced by "Seinfeld" . It became a daily tradition for anyone growing up and living in Southern Ontario. I started watching it every day after I finished high school. In the 1980s, it would compete with "The Flintstones", which had its own lengthy run on CFTO-TV, Toronto's CTV station, also at noon. I can't tell you how many times I had trouble deciding which of the shows to watch on a given day. Those were the good old days! :) I don't think anyone will ever beat the Beaver's unofficial record in today's era. I'm still amazed just thinking about it!

Interesting! I never knew that about Leave it to Beaver on the Ontario station. For me, it was similar with the Flintstones. I remember it would air, also, at noon on CFCF-12 which later became CTV. I remember it around 1996-1999 maybe, sorta fuzzy on the exact years.

Pavan 10-25-2010, 12:32 PM Blog story on the TBS changes:

icecream 10-25-2010, 02:55 PM My Name is Earl will lead into According to Jim both on TBS and my FOX affiliate. That's weird, they have nothing in common.
Effective May 2, it appears that Home Improvement is back on TBS, airing from 7-8AM, replacing 2 episodes of Saved by the Bell. Saved by the Bell remains 8-9AM.

This might have to do with the fact that on Monday, TeenNick will begin airing SBTB from 3pm-4pm each day.
I'm interested in seeing their fall schedule soon, which will include Big Bang Theory.
Pavan 05-01-2011, 06:19 PM TeenNick has aired Saved by the Bell before (it has been sitting on their shelf for nearly two years), so TBS cutting it by an hour has nothing to do with it.

THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!
Although I'm a big Home Improvement fan, SBTB from 7-8 (and only in recent years 8-9) is just about the only staple and programming block that never changes. I hope this doesn't mean TBS is getting ready to pull the plug on SBTB or that its rating are going down.
It's been on from 7-8AM since 1999 if I'm not mistaken. Don't mess with the streak TBS; air Home Improvement some other time. I think the 3rd eps of Fresh Prince and Raymond should be removed.
Go back to SBTB 7-9, Fresh Prince 9-10, Home Imp 10-11 then carry on as it is currently scheduled. The Yes Dear airings are awkward in between SBTB and Fresh Prince and the way they split up Raymond is weird.
I love this! Somebody is actually airing Home Improvement at a somewhat decent time when the sun's shining!
