I was at Target and my sister noticed that they already have Halloween stuff for sale. It will probably be June next year.

WTF is wrong with Target? And I thought stores selling Halloween items in August was bad, but Target takes the cake by selling Halloween items in July.

This is unrelated but I have a job interview at Target today. I sure hope they hire me.

I think the day will soon come when holiday items are sold year round. It's getting worse and worse every year. How 'special' can a season be when we are experiencing it constantly?

Good luck, Mickey. /former Target team member ;)

I miss working at Target... I was just there today, but didn't see any Halloween stuff out yet. It's still back to school/college stuff, and will be that way for another 4 weeks for sure. The only Target BTS/BTC season I worked was the summer of '08, so I don't really remember how long it lasted. I know they got their BTS/BTC merchandise end of June and were required to have everything set out by Independence Day weekend. (same deal with the place where I work now) Halloween stuff should be arriving and be set out by no later than end of August at both stores, I am sure.

I bet the Halloween stuff was because the particular Target you went to got a ****ton of Halloween merchandise, and they couldn't keep everything in the backroom. I know the woes of this, as I am a backroom employee where I work now... There are only so many people working in the back, and only so much space for things. Target's backrooms are WAY WAY WAY smaller, so I would not be surprised if this is the case. That merchandise has GOT to go somewhere...

Actually, the Party City store near me has Halloween items placed near the back of the store and up on the top shelves on the off-season.

So it does have Halloween items for sale year-'round. No year-'round Christmas items (yet).

I'd like to have a store like Halloween USA and call it Christmastown, it would have Christmas Stuff and it would be opened in July and from Labor Day to New Years Day.

I have seen a few mall stores that have small sections of Halloween and Christmas items year round.
