"True Blood" Launches Comic Book Series

Are you thirsty for more than one hour of "True Blood" a week? The creators of HBO's vampire drama have another way to quench it.
The show now has a comic book series that will add new layers to the show's characters, Reuters reports. Creator Alan Ball developed the plot of the comics with writers Elisabeth Finch and Kate Barnow.
Envisioned as a companion piece to the TV series, the comic follows Sookie and other Bon Temps residents who are trapped by an entity that begins killing people to feed.
The first issue, which boasts two covers, was first made available at Comic-Con, which began Wednesday in San Diego.
