Of course it's not fair that bad things happen to good people; but I'm referring to the smaller things in life that are not fair, such as:

When you order a pizza with, say, half mushroom and half pepperoni, that you have to pay for two toppings. You're really only getting one.

When you buy a new computer, they don't give you recovery discs, or anything for that matter. That's the way it's been for my last two computers. I bought one recently, and it didn't come with a manual. Not too long ago, they'd give a big plastic folder loaded with stuff. No more, at least with Gateway or Dell.

When you're in a crowded theater and the person in front of you is tall, you're just screwed, with no recourse.

Why NYC buses won't accept pennies or dollar bills? The pennies I can understand but dollar bills? Every city I've been to takes them as part of the payment but not NYC. This is more dysfunctional than unfair but it has elements of both.

It's not fair that I can't drive. I would loooooooooove to take road trips. Being I'm on a medical LOA from work for another month at the moment, I have a lot of time on my hands... I'd love to get out and go visit people. Sigh.

When you go to the trouble to clip a coupon and bring it to the store, but the cashier forgets to use it.

When a price on an item is clearly marked in its place in the store, but the item scans for a higher price -- and you don't notice until you get home...!

When a store says "Save 30 cents!" in their ad, but you know for a fact that they raised the regular price on that item by exactly 30c just a couple of weeks ago.

^ Speaking of coupons, time was, all you had to do was buy one item to use a coupon. Now, it's buy two, three or more items. I actually see one, it might be Dannon, that has a coupon for a dollar off 20 yogurts. That's just nuts to me.

Another thing, coupons expire fast. I remember when many had no expiration date, or they gave us a year to use them. Now, three months and it's over.

ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) is not fair. It's the most insidious, horrendous disease I can think of and the fact that not only is there no cure there's also no treatment only compounds it's unfairness.

Janice, you're pizza thought made me think of another food-related problem - when you get a sandwich somewhere and you add something to it like cheese and they charge extra but at the same time, you have them leave off a few things and they don't take the price down any. If I'm adding one thing and leaving off 3 things, it should at least even things out but here I am paying a dollar extra lol

It's also not fair that every person I arrest for DUI seems to get off with no more than a slap on the wrist thanks to the judicial systems. That way they can go back out there and maybe kill someone the next time. It's almost like my hard work is all for naught.

I agree with you - not only is it not equitable but bad business...a smart store would have made $ accomodations...and ensure a loyal customer

Now THIS is really awful. IMO the DUI laws really need to be A LOT TOUGHER. And part of the sentence s/b mandatory attendance at AA (NA/CA) meetings - since this behavior is a REAL RED FLAG for alcoholism/drug abuse.

So true. They should start from nothing and build from there. I guess they want to get us for all they can. Nope, that's definitely not fair.
