Utilizing his keen observation skills and well-honed intuition, brilliant defense attorney Matlock (Andy Griffith) continues to successfully protect all sorts of desperate clients including a gambler, plastic surgeon, a judge's son and even himself.


This television drama's fifth season finds Matlock's private investigator and right-hand man, Conrad (Clarence Gilyard Jr.), collecting key evidence in Chicago and landing a new girlfriend.
