This talk about Ethel Merman and Vivian Vance's early musical career reminded me of this clip from 1933 when Vivian Vance was only 23 or 24 years old. Vivian is the woman on the stairs, and at 5:45 she sings! Hearing her here reminds me of when she sang "Steamboat Bessie" on TLS and "Lily of the Valley" on ILL. :)
