I think was the LAST third season Dick York as Darrin episode, and was funny. It was also funny at the end, when Mr.Hornbeck,of Hornbeck Pharmaceuticals,Larry and Darrin(both somewhat befuddled after Mr.Hornbeck discovered the SECOND side effect-)discovered the SECOND side effects of Dr.Bombay's pills,(As I posted in another post ,Samantha said to Endora when she brought Dr.Bombay to cure Darrin's cold increduously "You got the them (the pills)from that quack?".This I think is the FIRST and ONLY time Samantha said that.Usually,Darrin did.Or were there others?),growing hair ,as Mr.Hornbeck was bald.

That was the final episode, period, from Season 3, plus the first appearance of Dr. Bombay. That's the only time I remember Sam calling him a quack, though Darrin called him plenty of names as time went on.

...and Milton Frome, balding character actor who specialized in "bombastic roles", was Mr. Hornbeck. Because of his appearance in this episode, though, he was not allowed screen credit (as the "Grocer") when he appeared several weeks earlier in the "I DREAM OF JEANNIE" episode "My Incredible Shrinking Master": same situation when Maurice Dallimore guest-starred in "Sam's Spooky Chair" in December 1966; he appeared unbilled as "Professor Prever" in "My Master, the Rich Tycoon", almost three months before. Apparently, someone on the "BEWITCHED" staff {William Asher?} decided that certain actors who appeared on both shows within the space of several weeks could not receive screen credit on "JEANNIE".

Just Wondering:)...How could William Asher have THAT kind of control of who appeared and got credit on "I Dream of Jeannie" - or ANY control of what went on regarding another show for that matter? I know "Bewitched" was a cash cow for Screen Gems but it seems that what other jobs guest stars took and got screen credit for on any other show would be out of William Asher's control. I don't think he, Sidney Sheldon, or any director / producre had that kind of control at Screen Gems. I have heard this story about screen credits regarding these two shows mentioned before. Can you tell me where it originates? I've never heard where the "source" of this information comes from or if it's more "legend" that was derived from a comment (from an interview, etc.) and somehow grew into this story. Just curious:)

Also, it's interesting that during this same season mentioned in your post Barbara Eden's then husband, Michael Ansara, guest starred on "I Dream of Jeannie" for the season opener entitled 'Happy Anniversary' (9-12-66) as the Blue Djinn -was credited - AND guest starred on "Bewitched" virtually one month later (again only several weeks apart) in the episode entitled 'A Most Unusual Wood Nymph' (10-13-66) as Rufus the Red AND he was credited then too.

Just interesting:)
