As you can see, my last thread on this page is called "The Hot Dog Stand". This was a compare and contrast post about a "Honeymooners" episode of the same name and the "Gimme a Break!" episode called "Samantha's Protest". The main thing that the two had in common is that both situations ended with one or more characters from the show getting their bubble bursted. Because no one has responded so far, I will elaborate a little bit on how I feel about the two episodes. The "Gimme a Break!" episode ended with Katie learning that the boy whom she flirted her butt off with was taking Samantha to a movie the next day! In the duration of the episode, Katie behaved in a manner that was, in the words of Julie "disgusting". Because of this, I really enjoyed seeing her bubble get bursted! Ralph and Ed, on the other hand, worked their fingers to the bones to get their hot dog stand off of the ground. When they heard about a building with between thirty and forty employees coming in regularly, they were everjoyed with the potential of a bunch of people coming in for lunch each day! Then they learned that the building going up was going to be a Howard Johnson! Because of how much I admired their ambition and determination, my first thought was "poor fellows". I guess what I am trying to say is that, even though the outcomes were very similar, my feelings about the episodes were entirely different.
