"Glee's" Amber Riley to Sing National Anthem at All-Star Game

Usually, you immediately know the name of the person selected to sing the national anthem at Major League Baseball's All-Star Game, but that may not be the case this year, Amber Riley has been selected for the honor, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
While that name might not ring immediately as familiar, fans of "Glee" know her as the face and voice behind Mercedes Jones.
It's an intriguing choice, as Riley is not even the lead vocalist for the glee club on the show. That honor goes to first-time Emmy nominee Lea Michele.
But Riley has come to shine in the ensemble for her spunky attitude and powerhouse vocals. That strength will be featured as she tackles not only the national anthem, but a set of additional songs beforehand.
