I don't understand how Florida could have married Carl knowing his religious beliefs and how he didn't believe in GOD. Don't you think that that was too quick for her to accept him, date him and then marry him..:confused:

It's TV, not real life. And Esther Rolle was going to be M.I.A. the following season, so they needed an excuse to write her out.
