July 9th 2004: Actress Isabel Sanford, best known as “Weezie,” Louise Jefferson on the television sitcom “The Jeffersons,” died of natural causes.

I remember that day so well. :rip: Isabel. I love that "Weezy" was put on her grave. It reminds me of Sorrell Booke's (Boss Hogg on Dukes of Hazzard) tombstone, which reads "Beloved Pa, Grandpa, Brother and Boss". It's so nice that some actors love their roles so much they don't mind having them put on their graves.

When she died, I was startled to learn that she was twenty years older than Sherman Hemsley.

She could have played his mother on The Jeffersons. But I never took notice of that as a kid watching the show. Kind of an interesting role reversal in terms of the gender/age thing in Hollywood, if you dig what I'm sayin.'

The ironic thing is at the beginning of the show Louise actually looked YOUNGER than George in some episodes eventhough SHE was 2 decades OLDER!! UNREAL!!!
