I was checking on my preorder for this set, which I should receive I hope shortly after the release date of 7/27, and I was pleased to see that the full set is now priced at $18.99, rather than the $28.99 or so that was its price back when I ordered it. Due to Amazon's price guarantee, I will now just have to pay the lower price. I hope that this price reduction makes the full set more affordable for more people, though the DVD set's current ranking on Amazon actually looks pretty good right now. I think it's ranked around #8 among sitcom sets now, if I read the rankings right.

I ordered mine! and this is as close as to a "blind buy" for a TV DVD set I have ever done. I have seen maybe 2 or 3 episodes at most of this one.

Same here, but since Desi appears in a handful of episodes, and the bonus features should be worth the price alone, I figured what the heck! The price was too good not to preorder!

oh yes, indeed!! Besides I also like Kaye Ballard (she did Doris Day Show after this was canceled) and Eve Arden!

Was basically a blind buy for me as well although I did catch some episodes when Trio aired it. I miss Trio so much :( They aired so many great shows that are all but forgotten. Anyway, you can't beat $18.99 for a complete series (56 episodes) plus the ton of bonus materials on this set. CBS could learn from this instead of charging a SRP of $39.99 for a 1/2 season of Perry Mason! Get real CBS.

I'm anxious to hear what you self-proclaimed "blind-buyers" think of the series.
I'm glad the retail price was set so low, that sales should be pretty high for The Mothers-in-Law.! Good marketing strategy, as many might pass this show up simply because they're un-familiar with it. And YES, CBS could learn a thing or 2, HALF SEASON SETS Suck!!!!!
