Was a very funny black and white episode from season one.I liked it when at their first house,Endora kept popping in and out, driving Samantha and Darrin(Dick York) crazy,ESPECIALLY Samantha.Another great scene was at the end, when at their new house Darrin KISSED Gladys Kravitz!(the late Alice Pearce). After that,he said, befuddled,"Mother"?And then at the end, after Samantha explained to him that the peson he kissed was neighbor Gladys Kravitz and it was not Endora that he kissed,it was nice when Darrin and Samantha,in front of their new house, which they had just bought, kissing,Endora,on the roof, said, after looking down and seeing Darrin and Samantha kissing, said "Believe me,It'll never work!"(chuckling).

...it was decided that Darrin and Samantha would move out of his apartment and move into a "typical" suburban neighborhood: the one that was always featured in Screen Gems/Columbia sitcoms of the '50's, '60s and early '70s. If you watched "FATHER KNOWS BEST", "THE DONNA REED SHOW", "DENNIS THE MENACE", "HAZEL", "GIDGET", "I DREAM OF JEANNIE", and "THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY" often enough, you'd notice the "neighborhood" was virtually the same, with the focus on different homes along the two or three blocks that made up those outdoor settings- and those same houses always appeared often enough on several different Screen Gems series (as well as commercials) for someone to wonder, "I know I've seen that house before!".

And it was also the beginning of Gladys Kravitz's obsession in finding out exactly what was so weird about her new neighbors, and what she usually saw at Samantha's house was never visible to husband Abner, whose usual sarcastic reactions to her were "Take your nerve medicine", or "If you had any respect for your neighbors, you'd move".

Yep, this episode was the "template" for most of the situations to come...

It is indeed a fun episode. I've always loved the Stephens house at "1164 Morning Glory Circle". I always wanted to have a house with a layout just like it - at least the kitchen/living room/stairs part. :D

I always wanted to live on that street. Could you imagine having the Stephens, the Stones, the Andersons, Jeannie and Tony, and Gidget as neighbors?

It would never be boring, that's for sure!! Don't forget that the Partridge Family also lived there. :D
