WASHINGTON C.H., Ohio (AP) — An Ohio school district is trying to fire a teacher accused of sexual harassment who claims her male accuser had her under a hypnotic spell.

The Miami Trace school board in southwest Ohio's Fayette County this week began the process of terminating elementary school art teacher Cindy Hart over the co-worker's allegations. The board said in a resolution that Hart made unwanted and inappropriate advances toward the man.

According to documents in the case, Hart claimed the school employee had "covertly hypnotized" her, which made her write romantic letters to him.

Hart, who has been with the district about 10 years, has been suspended without pay and benefits.

A woman answering a call to Hart's home for comment on Friday abruptly hung up.

If this guy actually did this, then they should throw his ass in jail. :mad:

That women's story is BS. Stage hypnosis, used by magicians is just like play acting and improv comedy, you only do it because you're up on stage and other people are doing stuff too. You only shut your eyes because he's telling you, and everyone else is doing it. It's in no way brainwashing and you're free to stop at any time. If it really were that easy I think the magicians would be running things.

That woman is just lying or making excuses to keep her job. Why should someone be fired over a lover letter? First thing you should do, is say stop sending me the letters. The article is kind of short to know what actually happened.

That's my feeling. Lady, maybe your husband bought that story - I'm not buying it.

This reminds me of the old 1980s "Late Night With David Letterman" routine, when a kaleidoscope image would be shown onscreen and Dave would look into the camera with a blank stare and say "I'm hyp-mo-tiiiiiiiiiiized!" :)
