I agree that Carla was a great Mom in the way she loved her children--would KILL for them. There's no doubt about that.
I personally wouldn't want her for a mother because she works all the time, has kids by different men and that wisecracking would get on my nerves.

Jill Taylor I wouldn't like either, she always tried to be too cool or hip. Plus I always had a thing for her and that just wouldn't work out if she was my mom.

My answer has always been Shirley Partridge!
She was sooo lazy and except for singing, sat around on the couch gabbing with the three older kids. Completely ignored the two littlest one who needed her more.
Too self absorbed. Mrs. Brady was much more believable, likable and even with a maid - did more.

How can you hate Edith? She's such a doll. I know what you mean though, it would get tiring after a while hearing her sing! But beneath her annoying voice (which was meant for her character), I don't think it would be the worst thing having her for a mother. Though, other people may stare upon hearing her stupid (yet hilarious) remarks about everything. She wouldn't be the worst mother out of the TV moms, though, as I stated above. I agree with the first poster- I would choke Roseanne if she was my mother!
