View Full Version : I Am Guessing The Animators Over At Hanna-Barbera Had An Adult Sense of Humor!?
Brian Damage 07-01-2010, 09:07 PM ***CAUTION***
If you are easily offended, then don't read any further!
Penelope Pitstop (infamous from the Wacky Races cartoons) had a somewhat interesting "device" as a gadget in her vehicle, the Compact Pussycat. lol I won't say what it is, look for yourself...
BTW, this is a completely legit pic from the cartoon and NOT photo shopped in any way.

MrCleveland 07-03-2010, 04:05 PM That's why many shows from H-B got absorbed to Adult Swim.
I'm hoping to have Loopy de Loop on the show that I'm making up called "Bertstown"...If it goes on Cartoon Network and I get the permission. (Loopy won't cuss except in French).
catlover79 07-03-2010, 08:22 PM I am speechless!!! :eek2:
JamesG 07-04-2010, 11:02 PM Maybe it's for her carseat...;)

Well it was the 60's and Penelope was obviously a liberated woman. After all she drove a race car!

Lots of things did back in the day...
You think we'll ever see today, in a three little pigs cartoon, the big bad wolf getting strapped to a spanking machine? That's from The Practical Pig (1939).

The usual things I saw nude in Disney Cartoons was Ariel, Little Hiawatha, Most scenes from "Fantasia" and who can forget...Donald Duck!

Steve Carras 09-26-2010, 08:22 PM Well...look at all the 1957-1963 TV series Hanna-Barbera did, esepcially Top Cat, a Sgt.Bilko Parody with an extremely interesting cat cast- nerdy chaarcter actor Arnold Stang as Top Cat, wiseguy Marvin Kaplan as Choo Choo, Bilko regular Maurice Gosfield as Benny the Ball, nightclub-cool jazz and comic music layer and impressionist Leo De Lyon as both Spook and The Brain, movie and radio policeman portrayer Al Jenkyns as the only human charatcer, nemesis [who TC sometiumes wins over], Off.Dibble, and a few studio regulars, John Stepehnson as Fancy Fancy and Pierre, and Jean VanerPyl as T.C.'s gal pal Goldie.
And orf coruser the earliest "Flintstones", and the Huckleberry, Super Snooper, and Jinks and Yogi
robyrob 09-27-2010, 09:56 AM Wacky Races is on every day on Boomerang, and if you watch the intro it clearly shows Penelope's shifter with "LIPSTICK" in place of the "VIBRATOR" which kinda looks like it was photoshopped-in
