I almost fell off my chair when Brian Ward made this announcement. This is great news. Jude The Obscure 06-24-2010, 12:14 AM That is great news for All in the Family fans!! Makes me hopeful Shout! will pick up on other abandoned faves... McGillicuddy 06-24-2010, 12:16 AM That is great! I hope The Jeffersons, Maude, One Day at a Time, and Archie Bunker's Place all get acquired by Shout! also. catlover79 06-24-2010, 02:55 AM That is great! I hope The Jeffersons, Maude, One Day at a Time, and Archie Bunker's Place all get acquired by Shout! also. Not to mention the rest of Barney Miller, Bob Newhart Show, Newhart, Perfect Strangers, etc... BigManMike 06-24-2010, 08:19 AM Well, I am so happy Season 7 of All in the Family is finally coming. I just got word from Amazon that it will be released on October 5, so this is great. After this, just two more seasons. I know Season 5 of the Facts of Life is also coming sometime this fall from shout, so that is good too. I hope that Shout will also pick up Maude, The Jeffersons, One Day at a Time, Diff'rent Strokes, Who's the Boss, and 227 from Sony as well and release the rest of those. But I am so glad that All In the Family Season 7 is finally being released 3 1/2 years after Sony released Season 6 in February 2007. Ron Ron 06-24-2010, 11:10 AM finally about time there is a god what other shows Brain said he really wants to pick up Silver Spoons and get it going again. Why can't they just get access to the entire Sony library, instead of getting a show here, and a show there? FrankCostanza 06-24-2010, 01:06 PM This has been a great year so far for sitcoms on DVD! First Fresh Prince Season 5, then Family Matters Season 1 and now All in the Family Season 7. I am very pleased to hear that the Shout Factory has answered the requests of the loyal, hardcore fans of this show by releasing the remaining seasons on DVD. After last year I gave up hope that Sony would ever finish them. I just began watching this show last fall and taped the last three seasons on VHS from TVLand. I am glad that I will no longer have use for the horribly edited eps on that poor VHS picture quality. Watching them online wasn't that great either. Count me in as one who would love to see the Shout Factory release the rest of the stalled Norman Lear classics on DVD, especially The Jeffersons which has five seasons remaining. TV_Forever 06-24-2010, 02:20 PM Hey Guys and Gals, The preorder information is available. The set is going to be released on October 5, 2010! First Gab and now this...OMG! Blessings, TV Forever Ron Ron 06-24-2010, 02:45 PM There's a art cover for Season 7 up on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/All-Family-Complete-Seventh-Season/dp/B000TD0PHG/ref=pd_rhf_p_t_1 MickeyMac 06-24-2010, 03:18 PM This is good news, but I hope Shout Factory dosent abandon putting out the classics for more recent stuff. Kasey 06-24-2010, 08:37 PM I doubt Shout! will abandon them. Since the big studios are doing just that, it's a big coup for a small company like Shout! They have never ceased to amaze and thrill me these last 2 yrs. with releases like Rhoda, Patty Duke, Designing Women, Facts of Life and now this! I truly hope this is a good sign and that Maude and One Day at a Time will be announced soon. Valerie Bertinelli is certainly HOT again due to TV Land, and the recent passing of Rue McClanahan should fuel the push to get these out. I was never a big Jeffersons fan but for those who are, I hope that comes true as well. 1960'sTVfan 06-24-2010, 09:32 PM Good news about All In The Family, season 7 and "Archie's Chair" is finally going to make it to DVD. Now if Shout! Factory can also get the rights to Hazel and The Flying Nun and finish off those shows, that would be terrific. storrs19 06-25-2010, 09:18 AM I agree. "Archie's Chair" is a laugh riot episode! I love that one. I'm so glad this is happening. Like others have said I'm glad for Shout Factory picking up the pieces of abandoned TV shows from Sony, Universal and others. Let's hope we don't have to wait another four years between releases. Johnny be good! 08-12-2010, 02:22 PM There is hope for all these great shows. Shout! has been so good to us. Dr. John Becker 08-12-2010, 10:35 PM I agree. "Archie's Chair" is a laugh riot episode! Cabot_Cove 08-17-2010, 12:33 PM Really pleased to hear that Season 7 of AITF is finally being released. It's been so long since S6 was released, I was beginning to think it would never be completed. Kudos to Shout Factory for picking up the pieces for fans. |
