I don't remember any talking pets on The Flintstomes but Fred had a martian named The Great Kazoo who only he and Barney saw and heard

If you mean the ep where Fred goes hunting for a Snorkasaurus which talked and was patterned after Sgt Bilko. I think it was meant as a one shot appearance.

....as there were several inconsistancies in the settings and characters during season one. For example, the name of the town Fred and Barney lived in was known as both "Bedrock" and "Rockville", depending on the episode. There was another Flintstone pet: a saber-tooth tiger cat, better known in comic and coloring books as "Baby Puss", which disappeared as "Dino" gained more prominence. He was seen at the beginning of the series, but "The Snorkasaurus Story" episode, in January 1961, was intended to "reintroduce" him with Jerry Mann's "Phil Silvers/Bilko"-esque voice, but eventually Hanna-Barbera decided to keep him as a "dinosaur dog", with Mel Blanc providing his voice.

Incidentally, "The Great Gazoo" [from the futuristic planet "Zetox"] was introduced in the sixth and final season.

Didn't they show that cat in the ending credits and Fred put the cat outside along with a milk bottle then the cat jumped thru the cave window and then it put Fred outside :confused:
