Someone told me they would not make huge damage by moving her from Strokes because she could easily be replaced by another housekeeper but that did not work with Facts when she left because she was not easy to replace. When Cloris came on I was not sure if I would watch it but ended up not enjoying it the same way but I enjoyed it but from a grown up point of view.

The tone of the show also changed during Rae's last season.

It became sort of static from 1985-88 and ceased being a live sitcom like "One Day at Time" and developed more of a "Growing Pains" or "Who's the Boss" vibe, with canned laughter and background music between scenes, etc.

I still enjoyed it, though not as much.
