I just re-watched the Megan Curl case and I was curious about her neighbour that lived in the same appartment complex. This may have already been mentioned in another thread but I found it hard to believe that she was so concerned about Megan talking to the person in the car...because she went back inside her appartment twice! Once to get something to eat and then for another reason.

If I was that worried about my friend I would stay out on the balcony at all times and make sure she was okay or maybe even call to her after a while and make her come back upstairs safely. The last thing I would be thinking of would be how hungry I am!

Granted she did claim she was very worried and she did go upstairs to check on Megan in her appartment when she couldn't see Megan and the guy outside anymore but still....did anyone verify the neighbours story? Just saying....any thoughts or updates?

I think it's really easy to say what we would or should have done after the fact. The George Owens case comes to mind. Naturally, there were a number of people who jumped on that store clerk for not calling the police when a confused elderly man wandered into her store, but you could certainly tell during her interview she felt terrible about it. Human beings make mistakes, especially those in judgement. A lot of us, faced with the same situation, might have very well done the same thing.

Not only that, but Megan's neighbor probably felt Megan was due at least some degree of privacy. I mean, I'd be slightly annoyed if someone I lived next to felt it necessary to continually watch me interact with another person from a distance. Just my thoughts, though.

Yeah you make some good points I guess Megan's friend did all she could do- just checking on her and not wanting to be over-protective. I'm sure she felt she needed to watch over her because Megan was very trusting and a little naïve. Tragic what happened though to Megan :(

The neighbor even went so far as to go to Megan's apartment to check on her. Megan told her she was OK so I would think it natural to believe her and go back home. And if the neighbor was good friends with her she probably knew about Megan's tendency to be very trusting with people and her casual intimacy with men. Even with her doubts I don't think it ever crossed her mind that Megan was going to end up murdered so horribly like she was. If the police were called, Megan might have sent them off too. You just never know.
