Carmine "The Big Ragu" Ragusa was certainly talented. He could sing and dance, but could he carry his own show? The end of Lavern & Shirley looked like the beginning of Carmine. Would you have watched?

If they did a show about Carmine where he was trying to balance a boxing career and running his own dance studio I would have watched it.

If they were going to spin off Carmine the perfect time to do it would have been when the girls moved to California. Instead of him following the girls out to California he could start his new post-Shirley life on a spin-off show.

As it was, since his character did make the move, my preference would have been that he get it on with Ronda Lee (Leslie Easterbrook) in his own series. WOOT-WOOT go for it, Big Ragoo! LOL...
It would have been a natural, as both characters were show business oriented.

I was a pretty big L & S fan so I definitely would have watched, especially if some of the old cast made appearances.

I guess I'm missing something here, since Potsie went to high school with Richie and Ralph.

I think Carmine would have definitely needed at least one other familiar character from the L&S /Happy Days world.

What I don't understand is how there was never an attempt to spin off Lenny & Squiggy.

Actually, a show with Carmine and Lenny & Squiggy would certainly have worked since Carmine would have brought a sense of normalcy.

Unless L&S was over though, that would be taking a lot of characters for a spin-off.

Ok. I don't know if they were implying that they had both attended the same high school or if they were there at the same time. Obviously Carmine is older than Potsie and the guys, so he graduated before them.

I just went to tv.com and Carmine defintely stated he and Potsie went to highschool together. So the writers of L&S must have made a mistake because Carmine supposedly went to Filmore High and Potsie went to Jefferson High
