Despite not getting season 1 of Who's The Boss, I would start with season 2 onwards. This series definitely started a little slow but soon picks up. I personally feel the same way about Silver Spoons... I bet people are waiting for the Alfonso years. This could be why several first seasons never sold well.

I too am frustrated by this. So many of my favorite shows are on the list. 227, Too Close For Comfort, Blossom, Sister Sister, Who's the Boss?, and so on. I purchased all the available seasons, but got so tired of watching the same one/two seasons over and over that I sold them on amazon. I'd still purchase more seasons of these shows if they were released. The studios spend time/money releasing the current crop of GARBAGE sitcoms (Two and a half men, The Office, etc) on DVD. Those junks air in syndication on both network TV and cable. You can't watch the GOOD shows anywhere except on DVD, so keep them coming!

"Blossom" is being held up with music rights. Over at the Shout messageboard, I believe Brian Ward was talking about that. They still want to release it, but have some musical hurdles to overcome first.

I should also mention "The New Adventures of Old Christine" has the first two seasons out, not just one. But still, they are way behind for a current (well was) series.

I want more "Til Death." I only watch that show through DVD and I want the rest of the episodes!

Bottom line: If a DVD set doesn't sell that well, then plans for future releases are scrapped. People have to get out and buy them; alas, in this economy, folks don't have $30 - $50 per season set (let alone $150 to $200 for full season sets.) to spend.

My honest opinion, many of these shows have made millions upon millions in syndication and I don't think they need to be slapping these ridiculous price tags on these DVDs. For example, "I Love Lucy" which has been on the air ten times a day for close to 55 years in syndication, was initially released at $50 per season. (Thank God for Amazon, or I would have to have waited 3 or 4 years after its initial release to buy them at Target now....2 full seasons for $14.99).

I just don't feel the studios need to charge that much for these shows. Less price brings more people in....just ask Sam Walton who became a BILLIONAIRE on that idea.....

Yes, but until I see a release date for MFM, I can't say it is coming.

Hopefully we can convince Shout! or MPI to pick up the ball with The Donna Reed Show now that Virgil Films won't be releasing seasons 4 or 5.

Petticoat Junction is also being held up by CBS.

Just an FYI seasons 1 and 2 of Old Christine are out.

Well, out of this long list the shows I've most waited for to continue on DVD are All In The Family, Hazel, and The Flying Nun. Welcome Back Kotter also. Good news that Shout! Factory has picked up All In The Family, maybe they can acquire the rights to Hazel and The Flying Nun and finish those series off too. I'm especially fond of the final season of Hazel with Ray Fulmer and Lynn Borden. I imagine most of these TV series on this list became abandoned for mostly the same reason, low DVD sales.
