This is not an indictment of Pricilla Barnes, just looking for opinions. Did you find Terri dull or laugh out loud funny?

I liked Terri because she had a different humor - more dry, more as a "straight man" to the likes of Jack, Larry and Mr. Furley. Terri was my favorite of the blond roommates, by the way.

Cindy gets my vote for being the least funny.

I agree, I found Cindy probably to be the least funny overall. By the way, that's a great photo of Priscilla/Terri! Wow.

She wasn't laugh out loud funny but she did make me laugh at times. I think it was wise to make her as different from Chrissy and Cindy as possible. I think Janet was the least funny one.

She was okay. Cindy was my least favorite and the least funny, IMO.

Some of Teri's facial expressions and reactions to the situations around her were funny.

My vote would go to Janet. She always seemed like she was trying to hard to be funny and was usually better when she acted as a straight man.

Not at all. With Terri, it's always little things she does that I find funny. Mannerisms, etc.

Cindy was the least funny to me simply because she wasn't that great of an actress, so everything she did seemed overexaggerated like she was trying too hard.

True - but in Jenilee Harrison's case, TC was her first real acting job and she was cast in an emergency situation. I think she did as well as anyone could under those circumstances. I did think she was good at physical comedy - some of those scenes she did with John Ritter were priceless. Who would be the bigger insurance risk - Jack or Cindy??

The only female on Three's Company that was funny to me was Mrs. Roper

None of the female roomates were funny

I would say that Priscilla was the best actress of all the female roomates. She may not have had the funniest lines or dialogue but her reactions, her facial expressions, and the other subtle things that she did were very funny.

I think PB tried too hard to be funny - in many of the scenes she 'overdid' it, IMO. However, 'Cindy' was horrible - they should have neevr cast her at all.

Terri was the funniest of the blonde roomates. Suzanne was rarely funny and Cindy was sometimes funny.

The funniest to the least funniest goes:

1. Terri
2. Cindy
3. Chrissy

I agree Cindy was the worst!

I think with PB her character was more a inbetween Janet & Chrissy Character. Kinda a straight-man in some scenes and then other times silly.

Both Joyce and Priscilla were hilarious in the episode where Jeffrey Tambor was a guest star. "Nuts?"

Actually, there were two episodes in the Joyce/Priscilla years in which Jeffrey Tambor guest starred. In the one you are thinking of, he played a doctor. But there was another one in which he played a children's dentist. I thought he did a pretty decent job in both.

That was the greatest Three's Company episode EVER!!

Well that and the one where Jack goes with Janet to that small island on that little single engine plane and gets drunk and on speed and then performs one of the best physical comedy routines ever done!!

"How do you fit that in with all your congressional work?"

Cindy was the least funny.

Terri was funny, but in a different way than most TC fans were used to. You had Jack who was great with the physical comedy, Janet who was either the straight one or went out of her way to be funny, the Ropers who were never subtle, Mr. Furley and Larry... Terri was the only character who was more subtle with her humor. Her facial expressions and mannerisms and such were funny if you paid attention to her. She wasn't as funny as John Ritter, but she was funny.

Terri is my favorite of the three blondes they had on the show. I liked Chrissy as a kid, but when I got older I found there was only so much I could take of her. Jenilee Harrison was OK, but not as a regular. She had dumb down pat but in a hokey way. Priscilla as Terri was a hoot & real. I loved it when she grabbed the letter & ran off at the end of the ep where Jack's trying to get his letter back. That was one of the funniest Three's COmpnay eps & moments to me.

Terri was my favorite, I thought she was so funny, and the better looking of the other three female roomies. Cindy was just plain dumb and never should of been on the show IMO. I liked Chrissy after Terri and Janet after Chrissy.

Solomon, you're ridiculous. Women are not in the world solely for you to get your jollies. I think you're getting us mixed up with genuine Real DollsŪ

That being said, no. I think that honor belongs to Cindy. I found Terri hilarious.

I liked all three of the blonde roommates equally. Terri had me laughing right off the bat in her first episode. That bit where she's imitating Jack at Cindy's going away party was priceless (where she's says "nurse!" and quickly pants like a dog had me rolling). I think she and Janet had a better chemistry than Chrissy and Janet. I liked Chrissy and Janet, but as Joyce stated in Chris Mann's book, she had someone to make up comedy stuff when Priscilla joined. Plus, when I first discovered the show, I saw the Terri episodes first. I don't think the females on the show were less funny, I think it was because of how they were written, and when two female writers were hired on during the sixth season, I think Janet was written better as well as Terri. In the case of Cindy, she did an amazing job given that she was thrown into this situation of replacing Chrissy in such a short time.

The question I have is why on earth would the producers of one of the top-rated shows on television cast a completely inexperienced actress? I'm sure there had to have been plenty of real actresses who would have jumped at the chance to be on that show, if asked. Okay, that's kind of a rhetorical question. I know their primary casting requirement was to have a set of bouncing boobs (which this show and Charlie's Angels were known for). The acting ability was secondary, if that. When I first saw JH on the show back in 1980, I thought her acting was terrible. All these years later when I see her, my opinion hasn't changed one bit. She couldn't act if her life depended on it. But she surely fit her clothes well.

I can watch the show after season 4 because of Don Knotts. He was funny!

I think Terri was really funny at times. At other times she was playing off Jack, which was what she was supposed to do. It's hard to say, Cindy's character made me laugh out loud because of the physical comedy, but Terri/Priscilla was a better actress.

Exactly. Terri and Janet had the best chemistry of all.

Cindy was hilarious with all the bumping into jack but that got old so that's probably why they got rid of her.

I also found Cindy's klutziness still funny although I'm not sure about the general public back then.

But come on! The Chrissy dumb blonde act was getting OLD and STALE! She had to go!

When Terri first appeared on the show, she was very different than Janet. But as time went on, she became more like Janet and less an indiividual.

I saw the episode the other night where she moves in and immediately tries to comfort Jack about "June"(a story Larry made up). One of the scenes she holds a mirror up to Jack and says "Jack, what do you see?" in this funny voice and it was very funny. I don't know why the writers didn't continue developing her character in this manner.
