Not long ago I re-watched the A&E biography on the Nelsons, which mentions that as a baby Tracy appeared in some episodes of the show. (The A&E documentary shows footage of Tracy on the set w/ other family members when mentioning this.)

So my question is, what episodes was Tracy in? The only one I know of is the 1964 rerun of the 1956 Christmas episode ("Busy Christmas"), which has Rick singing "The Christmas Song" at the end while Kris holds Tracy, and Dave & June have their son Danny with them. Has anyone ever noticed Tracy in any other episodes?

I have always thought she is in the episode Rick's Assistant. (color episode so in the 65/66 season) Where neighborhood kid Joel gets an afterschool job at the law office pretty much taking over all Rick's duties. Kris is also in the episode. There is one scene where Joel's teacher comes by with his classmates to see him at work. Amid the children is a small blonde girl who obviously isn't old enough to be in school but looks like she could be about 2. An older girl is holding her hand and directing her where to go throughout the scene. She mainly has her back to the camera so I can't see her face but I've always thought that has to be Tracy. All the other kids are of similar age to be Joel's classmates.
Anyone else have this episode? Let me know what you think.

It's out-of-print, but you can buy it used on VHS from amazon.com.

I vaguely seem to recall having seen this episode, but I cannot recall it in enough detail to remember the scene that you describe. Maybe I saw it on the Disney Channel 20 years or so ago, but I don't have it in my collection of DVD or VHS releases. Do you have it on a commercial release, or did you tape it yourself back when Disney was showing O&H?

(Speaking of which, I sure miss the Disney broadcasts of O&H--a number of them of course, did make it onto the Shout Factory DVDs (drawing criticism from fans because they're slightly abridged!), but I swear, there were a lot of episodes shown on Disney that have never made it onto any VHS or DVD release. I especially remember Disney's "'Missing' Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet"--episodes that were not among the mere 100 originally chosen by Ozzie for syndication--and the little story about each episode that Dave would tell at the beginning. (Wonder why Ozzie only chose 100 episodes for syndication anyway?) At any rate, I wish I had taped and saved those episodes, but my collection of things that I've taped and saved is too big already. But I do still have a great tape I made from those Disney broadcasts of Rick singing, and even the whole family singing in some cases, so I'm glad for that at least.)

Hi Godilocks. If you're ever in LA or NYC go to the Paley Ctr. and reserve time in the viewing library. I know they have it in NYC as I've seen it twice.

Otherwise, getting it online sounds like a good and fast way. It was lovely and is worth owning if you can.

The only ep I can recall seeing her in is Busy Christmas. But I bet there are other(s). This requires someone with a very good collection - like over 250 eps. I'd be curious. CJ??

Where is CJ? I haven't seen her around in a very long time. I hope all is well with her.

I episode I was talking about, I recorded from Disney Channel in the 80's. I taped all the episodes I could get on there. Much of the episodes that have come out on the dvds I have already had, but there were some that new to me. Always love finding new episodes. I have around 300 episodes. Right now they are all on VHS, I have been wanting to transfer them to DVD but things keep getting in the way and coming up that I haven't gotten to it.

There are quite a few epiosdes I have been surprised not to see on a dvd set, like the very first television episode. I don't have that one. I have seen it a couple times on Disney, but for some reason I never got it on tape. I saw the last episode once on Disney but didn't get that one on tape either, luckily I now have that thanks to the sets.

I actually have a DVD w/ the very first episode ("The Rivals") on it. The DVD is "TV Guide Presents...The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet." It came out in 2004 and has six episodes (all from seasons 1 or 2), only 2 of which are on the Mill Creek or Shout Factory sets.

When O&H ended in 1966, the market for syndication wasn't anything like it is now, and Ozzie thought 430 was an unwieldy number of episodes to throw on the market, so he cut it down to 200. David later released 100 "missing" eps to Disney, so that leaves 130 that haven't been seen since their original airing, and you know what? I'd like to see them all!
