Fox has given an early third season order to new animated hit "The Cleveland Show."
The "Family Guy" spinoff heads into its second season this fall. Animated shows require long lead times, however, and this gives the series' producers a jump on prepping the show's third year.
"Cleveland" reps the second series out of Fox's recent freshman class to already receive an order for the 2011-2012 TV season, along with "Glee." Add "The X-Factor" to the mix -- also already picked up for 2011 -- and Fox's fall 2011 season is already shaping up a year before launch.
Pickup was likely a no-brainer for the net; "Cleveland" scored the top marks among new scripted series with adults 18-34 and teens.
Third season was announced Thursday morning by Fox Entertainment prexy Kevin Reilly.
"Cleveland" stars the voices of Mike Henry, Sanaa Lathan, Reagan Gomez, Kevin Michael Richardson, Jason Sudeikis and Seth MacFarlane, as well as Arianna Huffington in a recurring role.
Animated series centers on soft-spoken Cleveland Brown (Henry), who moves in with his high school sweetheart in and their blended family in his hometown of Stoolbend, Va.
Among guest voices set for season two: will.i.am, T-Pain, Carl Reiner, Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, Tony Hawk and cast members from "Glee."
