View Full Version : Which OTHER witch characters
Rezny@gmail.com 06-09-2010, 10:57 PM DIDN'T you like?I didn't care for Juke's mother in "Darrin:Gone AND Forgotten")(in which Dick York appeared briefly as Darrin),but I liked the way Juke stood up to his mother,or the scheming Sarah Baker in the black and white Dick York as Darrin first season episode "It Takes One to Know One".Know of any other witch chartacters you DIDN'T like?(And no,I DON'T mean any of the main characters like Endora,Maurice,Aunt Clara,Uncle Arthur,Esmeralda,Dr.Bombay)
Rezny@gmail.com 06-09-2010, 11:02 PM Or Serena.
comedyfreak 06-10-2010, 04:25 AM I didn't like the Juke character however, I liked Carlotta and how Sam outsmarted her.
catlover79 06-10-2010, 09:50 AM How about Sarah Baker/Janine Fleur from Season 1? She was the first female (witch OR mortal) that Endora tried to use to split up Sam and Darrin. That woman was annoying.
Even though she wasn't naturally a witch, I would definitely call Sheila Summers an honorary witch. I think she could definitely give Endora a run for her money in the spite department.
McGillicuddy 06-10-2010, 12:13 PM Well, I never liked Hagatha and Enchantra, when they, along with Endora were mean to Aunt Clara!
MickeyMac 06-10-2010, 03:46 PM In the episode Charlie Harper Winner, Charlie's wife Daphne was such an uppity snob, she was beyond annoying. I so wanted Sam to put some kind of curse on her.
Rezny@gmail.com 06-10-2010, 08:41 PM And,that former employer of Elspeth, who put Darrin(Dick York)behind that VERY cold mirror.Thankfully,Samantha made him see the light, and free Darrin.I also didn't care for in one of the episodes Dick York WASN'T in,Cousin Henry. In my opinion,he was a little TOO fun-loving,and kind of obnoxious.
biffbronson 06-11-2010, 10:21 AM Does the Crone of Cawdor qualify?
Rezny@gmail.com 06-11-2010, 11:49 AM Sure does.
Rezny@gmail.com 06-11-2010, 11:54 AM Sure does.I should have added:If the character was on-and I presume it was--on "Bewitched"
Rezny@gmail.com 08-11-2010, 06:32 PM And I did NOT care at ALL for that Brunhilda(I think that was her name)witch who cast a spell on Samantha (because the old hag thought Samantha was Serena)in "Samantha Goes South For a Spell".It was an unusual episode, too, when Darrin(Dick York)worked together with Serena so she could send him back to 1886,where Samantha was.Getting back to Brunhilda, she was WAY too mean.

Well, who was the nasty witch that sent Samantha back to Henry the VIII's time? Darrin#2 had to rescue her with Endora's help. Sounds like similar plots.
snelson 08-11-2010, 08:47 PM Well, I never liked Hagatha and Enchantra, when they, along with Endora were mean to Aunt Clara!
your'e right they were very mean to clara like the time clara i can't remember what she did she was put on trial for it. i don't think they cared wether clara was earthbound or not. i can't understand why endora would treat her own sister that way maybe something happened between them in the distant past.
catlover79 08-11-2010, 11:58 PM Well, I never liked Hagatha and Enchantra, when they, along with Endora were mean to Aunt Clara!
I know!! Aunt Clara was such a sweetie - and didn't deserve to be treated that way. But then again, she got the last laugh when she made the whole court disappear just as Darrin walked in the room!!
Rezny@gmail.com 08-13-2010, 11:10 PM Hagatha had some compassion for Aunt Clara in first season's black and white episode "There's No Witch Like an Old Witch", but showed very little in the first season black and white Halloween episode "The Witches are Out",and in the 1960's color episodes she was in with Aunt Clara, none at all.
Rezny@gmail.com 08-13-2010, 11:16 PM And I DIDN'T care AT ALL for the ominous Witches'Council, who took away Samantha,Serena, and Uncle Arthur's powers,in one of the episodes from the Dick York as Darrin years that Dick York WASN'T in.
Larry Tate 08-14-2010, 01:58 PM I think the Witches council was cool & a nice addition to the show, they made a nice protagonist for Samantha to go up against, yet they were good hearted witches all as they always saw the right & wrong of things in the end, with Samantha's enlightened help of course.
Larry Tate :)

McGillicuddy 08-14-2010, 06:41 PM I liked the time when Endora, Hagatha, and Enchantra decided they were going to take over the up-bringing of Tabitha, while excluding Aunt Clara, then the more powerful Maurice was called in, to save the day. He sent the 3 nasty b--uh, witches to some artic region to cool them off, then kindly escorted Clara home.
Rezny@gmail.com 08-15-2010, 08:20 PM In that episode #77,is there anybody who felt sorry for Endora,Hagatha and Enchantra when Maurice banished them to an Arctic region?I sure didn't.
