If they were to do a reunion show what ideas do you have for a plot? I see some good fanfics down the board but what do you see them doing?

How would you get Diane/Frasier and whoever else left back to the bar?

Would you have any of the cast of Frasier in for a short period of time? I always loved the idea of Frasier bringing his Dad in Cheers and to Frasiers horror he takes a liking to Carla and enjoys Cliffs trivia.

But what would be the big plot?? I would think something like they are going to knock down the bar and they have to try and save it (Failing miserably of course until maybe the last minute)

I'm not really good at this so I will leave it to those that are.

Well, I don't know how you would get Frasier and his Dad there, but my plot is basicly...

1. Rebecca has no money and asks Sam to reopen the bar with her.
2. Sam has just found out about Diane's death and starts drinking again.
3. Woody has his won bar.
4. Carla is working at Woody's bar.
5. Anthony and Annie have a daughter named Lauren, who Carla takes care of.
6. Frasier and Lilith are professionals and they are only mentioned, not really seen until late in the reunion.
7. Diane died in a car wreck... or did she? (cliff hanger)
8. Cliff and Norm are still the same, Norm is jobless, Cliff is chickless!

Mine is about:

Sam is contacted by Coach's old lawyer, 17 years after his death. He is told that somewhere in Cheers, there is over $1 million hidden away, and no one was to be told about it until 17 years after Coach's death. Whoever finds it, gets it. So Sam brings all the old regulars back, to look for the money, and some other characters show up too!

It's funny that there's an episode w/ almost the same plot(It's a Mad, Mad Bar) but I had no clue until I was way into it! LOL o well

If they were really to do a reunion, I have no clue what it would be about. The knocking down-the bar idea is good, but what else would go on?

I have the entire main cast of Frasier in mine(they'll show up more later in the story)

I think it would be pretty easy to get Frasier back to the bar. I've been waiting for them to use that as a sweeps gimmick the last 8 years. Lilith lives back there, as does his son, and he was back there once in a Thanksgiving ep. It should be easy enough to swing by the bar to say hello, with Martin (and Niles, that would be a hoot).

If they do a reunion, I want them to do it right - nothing too out of the ordinary.

Maybe they could do it as an episode of Frasier; maybe they could do a stand-alone special, but if it's done, I'd like to see sort of a normal "episode" that finds things at the bar about the same, with few changes.

If they did a REAL reunion, I would definatly want to see Sam and Diane get married. Then, you have to have Carla almost killing herself over it! It will be just like old times! Norm would still be the first and last customer in the bar. Cliff would still be living with his mom and talking about Florida all the time! Rebecca would still be bossy and married. Woody would still be, well...Woody!

Ok,any reunion should have Norm OWNING the bar,I mean
after all he's there more often than Sam!!!!:)
Also Cliff should discover he's adopted and Carla is really
his SISTER!(UGH!!!!!But that WOULD be funny knowing how
those two dislike each other if they found out they were
really siblings!:))
Woody has inherited his father-in-law's buisness and
is ACTUALLY a success,although he's moved the ENTIRE
town of Hanover,Indiana LITERALLY lock,stock and barrell
to their country estate!!!!!:)
Sam and Rebecca are married with a daugther.
Diane moves back to Boston after becoming a best selling
author(but she doesn't want anyone to know it's based on
a comic book!!!!!)
And Robin has remade his billions,and now owns the
entire state of Massachussets to Sam's disgust(plus
the Red Sox.)

Okay guys since im wierd this would be mine....


First Off, since this show is a TV ledgend (give it 20 more years it will be just like i love lucy) i think NBC should have on a thursday night, 8-10 p.m dedicated to the show.. heres why..

8 - 9 p.m .. a clip show kind of, like before that final episode, with the stars now being interviewed about the good parts of the show (They can save the whining for the E true hollywood story.. LoL ) and they'll pick the casts favorite moments blah blah.. cool huh? LoL that way it will get people syched into what upcoming.

[B]And for my Reunion...

It Wouldnt be that different, But It would start off with the little funny things before the theme, like usual..

The whole episode would just be about what they have been up to. nothing changing that much, the whole way we would find out about it is Fraiser comes to visit the bar with his brother and his father, and its hectic, so sam invites him and everyone to have a little party for the old usuals to talk about their lives.. it would be good though, because they could be telling fraiser what theyve been up to, along with US, so it wouldnt be gay.

Heres what dianes been up to..
After She flew back on the plane to california, she realizes that shes been kidding herself all these years, even though sam was so incredibly wrong for her, there was also something so right.. She talks this over with sam, and they end up getting married a few years in, and they have one kid, its a girl.. *you'll see why*
So Dianes writing for a publishing company while working part time at cheers.

Sam--
read the diane part, but other than that, hes been managing what he loves.. the bar, and still goes at it with diane even though theyre married.

Rebecca --
Rebecca's still married to the plumber dude in the final ep, but she comes back occasionally, like she said, so its not like this big "hey where have you been all these years" like some other cheesy reunions. This is a good plot because rebecca can be their reminising with the gang when they talk to fraiser about their lives. Also, Rebecca scored big, her husband won the lottery a couple years back and they can live comfortably (remember pple who saw the last ep - "Im marrying a plumber.. i shoot for donald trump.." LoL

Woody --
Woody and Kelly had a son anyway, but hes older and acts just like Woody! Carla calls him Woodhead Jr. Woody is also successful in his political career (to alot of peoples surprise).

Carla--
She has 2 more kids. this is good because they'll be the same age as diane and sams kid.. and the girl acts just like diane, so not only does carla taunt diane, but her kids taunt S&d's also.. It'd be funny, like Diane would turn her daughter into a little mini her, and sams like ogod, and carlas like .. stick jr!

Norm --
Not Much hasnt changed, he still sits there, opens the bar up and closes it.. with his job inbetween, oh and in this episode we almost meet vera again.. but something funny happens, like she falls into a trap that carlas kids pull for sam and dianes daughter, and we end up not seeing her face, like in the thanksgiving episodes.

Cliff --
He still lives with his mommy... but he has moved up in rank to something better in the post office LoL, oh and he does voice overs and speaks for national geographic, where people actually want to here all about what he says. and he gets paid for it!!

Fraiser --
Since Lilith still makes guest appearances on his show, when they tell Fraiser to go to the get together later on, the gang insists that he calls lilith over, and thats how we get her.

i dont know what kind of story line it would have, but it could have something like this, someone bought over the beer people sam manages from, and sam cant pay the fee to cross over, so cheers might be closing.. and remember how i sed rebecca hit the lottery big? well she helps out with it, and stuff.. i dont know i have no ideas but so many.. yano? well RESPOND Guys with ur ideas n stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:cheers: I think that all of your ideas were great. I think if we took different ideas from each of them we would have a great reunion special. I like the idea about the gang reminsing before the special aired. Also, I like the idea about Norm buying the bar. I think that it would be ironic and funny. Diane should not die! LOL I like the idea about the kids of Sam and Diane and Carla. Cute! I like the idea about Cliff being promoted to a higher position at the post office. I also think that the best idea is that Sam and Diane marry. Maybe Diane could be in town for a book promotional tour, and Sam reads about it in the papers. Wanting to see his old flame, he attends the book signing, and Diane is taken aback. Neither of them had ever found happiness romantically after they parted ways, and they come to the conclusion that they were made for each other. That is just an idea.

I agree DianeC.. sam and diane were only totally happy when they were together.. and the fighting just made them love eachother more lol

WE SHOULD WRITE THE REUNION FOR NBC

THIS MAY SOUND WERID SOMEHOW,but it would be nice if they some how brought back the great coach,I know that nicholes colosanto died though,but maybe they could bring back someone like his daughter who was now divorced and had some kids,and was wanting to buy the bar from sam asuming that he had already still already owned the bar and talk about him,ANOTHER idea since carla is superstious and they could have a sence with coach coming back and not realizing where he had been,allright thats probably a really bad also,but i want to somehow in some kind of form bring coach back or have them remember him some atleast,another idea is to have frasiers and liliths son could have a crush on one of carlas kids,the diane copycat kid could be and then that could be the start of another frasier and diane kind of romance,just some ideas,but it would be nice if they had it abit like the old days of cheers with the same kind of warmness and heart,i have some more ideas,what do you think about my ideas,let me know about it,and i like the ideas so far

If there were to be a reunion, I'd kill to be in it as someone's kid or neice or ANYTHING... I'm a bit too old to be one of the characters daughter unless it was already an existing one before the show went off the air... but the only kids were Carla's and Frederick. Hmm... I'd want to be in a Cheers reunion ALMOST as much as I want to play a Crane daughter on Passions... LOL

I have no ideas for a reunion plot, considering I still have yet to see the final episode... so... I just know I'd love to play anyone... preferably connected to Lilith in someway... or Diane and Sam. LOL I could even just walk by and I'd be happy... woo.

I would love to be in it too Like a son or a nephew. We can't really bring back coach because they said that he died then again they said that frasier's father was a chemist. I was thinking of an idea like this and they were going to tear down the bar for who knows why and everyone would show up. Then it would become a state landmark. Kinda corny! Your ideas are great but NBC should do the reunion. The reunion should be on nbc and they might use it to start a new series Maybe on Monday they don't have much on then.

I could start typing your ideas for ya if you tell all of them and i could send some and write them a long letter asking them to really consider our ideas we have given to them to read,but say we are lucky and they do a reunion the only thing I,m really worried is what if they hire some writers (other then ourselves for the job or someone else to do it,I,m not sure if they would follow our ideas,instead they,d probably hire someone else i think,but i hope i,m wrong here,do you think they would follow our ideas about the reunion or instead hire tv writers

That really depends probably hire writers because we are not as experienced. They make our ideas into consideration then have a team of writers develope them.If they do make a movie we probably won't be listed in the credits. (if they do hire writers i hope its Glen and Les Charles they are good!):D

Most reunion movies dont have the original writers/creators :( but maybe they will...are the Charles brothers and James Burrows doing anything now?

I think James Burrows is directing Will & Grace. I don't know about the Charles Bros.

the charles brothers are excellent writers and they wrote alot of great episodes,i mean cheers had alot of really good writers,but they created the whole show and if we could get them it would be great,or i wonder if we could get some of the origanal writers,well they were all really talented i like,the charles brothers,david lloyd,earl pomerantz,heidi pearlman,david angel was also a great writer,kevin levine and david issacs and susan siger,but if we could get any of the origanl writers for cheers it would be really really good,but i wonder how hard it would be to get them to do it,I guess it is highly doubtful,but maybe we could try and contact them and find out

Not likely that they'd listen at this period in time its dobtful that anyone would really be able or want to do a reunion right now

I think what they mean by "second" and "third" party is...The production company is the first party, the writers are the second party. So, the way I find it is that the only way they would have a reunion is if the writers proposed it. Maybe I am wrong, but I think that is what they mean by the parties.
