Because of how slow the boards are (yet again), I am going to resort to trying to stimulate some conversation by another post about site traffic! I would like to commemorate the twenty-one views of my last thread on this page. Twenty-one years ago, the year was 1989. Seeing the eighties come to a close was a big shock to peoples' minds in terms of where the world and its people were headed! However, an event that was very significant to me was that "Sesame Street" turned twenty-years old! The same network that would air "Mad About You" three years later put on a prime-time special called "Sesame Street-Twenty Years and Counting". I was in college at the time and watched it with a friend who had a color set. To think, it was made when black and white sets were still around! In any case, this was when that show still followed the old-school model and was still going strong. On some stations it was on as many as four times a day! Now you are lucky if you get to see it once on a weekday! I guess that, in the same way that all of these new-fangled kids' shows blew "Sesame Street" out of the water, all of these reality shows that I have no interest in knocked shows like "Mad About You" out of the ballpark! Oh well!
