I don't know if, or how often this shows up on other episodes, but in "Bargain Day", the one where Aunt Bee buys 150 lbs of beef for her broken down freezer!!! hahaha look that the Foley's Market sign. It says, "Picnics", 29 cents! I think it is supposed to say, "Pickles, 29 cents" not picnics!! LOL!

I agree, a pickle in the early 60's would have cost .5 to .10 cents.
There is a misspelled sign in "Ellie Comes to Town," the fourth episode of season one. In Walker's drugstore, at the top of a group of open display sheves is the sign "ENLARGMENTS", which should have an "E" after the "G," though it doesn't really look wrong. A good view of it is when Emma and Andy are talking. I think the word is spelled correctly in later eps.

You are 100% correct as I work in a meat dept. in a grocery store.
