 Hey Pals! I've been gone for much too long, I know... I'm just starting to read my mail from the last time I was on. Hey Bill & Benno... If I reply back to your last messages you sent me, will you get it? Looking at the message board I see many don't post anymore like they use to. Well after all this time, gong back to those old posts on Honeymooners.net about the planned remastered boxset of Lost episodes, we still don't have it!!! Will we ever see those episodes that were to be part of that planned boxset? It's nice to see the release of 2 of the 4 70's reunion shows, guess the 2 Christmas specials will follow later this year... Catching up some on the message board, I read that someone bought a rare missing episode on ebay but won't sell it because of a copyright! If there is a copyright, than how was it sold on ebay by a person, not related to the Gleason family. I'm sure MPI doesn't go around selling one episode on ebay lol. Anyway, hello to everyone and I'm sorry I was gone for so long. Having a new baby boy can make you forget things I guess... He's now 2 years old, boy does time fly!!!

Where fore art thou, Dizzy Dean!!! Ha! How ya been! I'm still here, though not much happening in Honeymooners land right now. I expected the MPI release of the reunion shows to spark some discussion, but it's been quiet. Luckily Frank keeps it alive with his postings, otherwise this place would be quiet. Hope all is well with you ...

Hey Ben!

I'm doing fine pal, it's great to see you're still here! You were transfering your "Lost Episodes" video tapes to dvd last time we were in contact... Everything go ok with that and did you get all the episodes? Those new MPI reunion show releases should spark discussion, but I think they should have released those 4 specials in a boxset together. I wonder if they will do that after the remaining 2 Christmas specials are released, something that happens alot now. Many shows like Hogan's Heroes, Get Smart, Kung Fu, Combat, have done this... release them by the season, than release the whole show in a boxset, after all the seasons have been released. Hey, any word on that long overdue remastered boxset of the "Lost Episodes", which was to have the remaining missing episodes that weren't released?? A few years ago the word was not if but when it was going to be released.
You're right about the place being quite except for Frank... Hey Frank  I'm amazed how Frank stays so active with it all. I always thought Honeymooners fans were some of the most loyal fans of any tv show, but over the last few years it seems there is less of them. Maybe with us posting, it will help a little... Seeing a few people active posting. It's great to be back posting again!

Welcome Dizzy Dean! I guess you have been busy warmin up in the bull pen! Congrats on your baby BOY there! This calls for a celebration. I got a very amusing bottle of wine. Now if I could just think of an appropriate toast..... Oh, I got it..... "Down the hatch!"

I agree, it's to bad there isn't much going on around here anymore. There are a lot of fans having fun on facebook, but not many serious discussions.

It's not fair to all of the fans that the Gleason family keeps everyone in suspense. They start his website with the promise of more to come, yet nothing ever happens.

And what's the deal with MPI stopping the production of the DVD box sets of the lost episodes? Surely you would think that they are planning something big but they never seem to get the ole ball rolling.

I guess they don't need the money because there are so many ways that they could cash in on Gleason's legacy if they would just listen to the loyal fans.

Welcome back Dizzy Dean:welcome:

 Thanks for the toast, lets breakout in song... Go get the pitch pipe! Yeah, I think my boy is going to be a Honeymooner fan, because he's always amazed at the screen when I put an episode in, and he doesn't do that with alot except cartoons... I guess the classic 39 intro started something with those fireworks and moons passing by... I remember him watching one episode with me when he was only 8 days old, infact it was "Hair Raising Tale." Yeah, I planned that and filmed it to look back on. He likes Green Acres too, the song and Arnold etc..
That is too bad about the way MPI and the Gleason estate has draged their feet with these releases. I was really hoping by now that the remastered "Lost Episodes" boxsets would have been released, especialy with some of those unreleased episodes. Some of them are available and show up in clips on specials every now & then. Some of them that were'nt released, we all have from trading like-

Bread 10-5-51
New TV Set 10-12-51
Ring Salesman 11-2-51 (Joyce Randolph's 1st!)
Razor Blades 11-9-51
Ralph Threatens to leave (Meatloaf) 11-16-51
Quiz Show 12-14-51
Honeymooners Christmas 1951 (Pert Kelton) 12-21-51

ED SULLIVAN'S Toast of the Town:
The Ring 3-30-52
The Dance 5-4-52

The New Bowling Bowl (Audrey's 1st) 9-20-52
Six Months To Live 12-13-52
Bus Accident aka- Sprained Thumb 9-19-53
LOVE LETTER- 10-16-54
TWO BELOW- 9-29-62
THE ADOPTION- 1-8-66

(8)1957 Trip to Europe episodes
Some of The jackie Gleason Show episodes

Others, we have only seen clips of-

TV Game Of The Week (Ralph's New TV) 10-20-62
Honeymooners Christmas 1952 12-20-52

And still missing-

The Turkey 9-27-52
Masquerade aka- Question mark 10-25-52
Missing Pants 12-6-52
Honeymooners Christmas 1952 12-20-52
Easter Hats 4-4-53
Alice's Birthday 5-16-53
Dorsey Brothers Show 5-23-53 (Not New Years Party!)
Fortune Teller 4-3-54
Halloween Party For The Boss 10-30-54
Santa & The Bookies (1954 version) 12-18-54
Letter To The Boss (1955 version) 5-21-55
Stand In For Murder (1955 version) 6-4-55 FULL ENDING!!!
Six Months To Live (version #2 1957) 5-11-57

Even The Color Honeymooners have Still Lost episodes-

"Life Upon The Wicked Stage"-2/11/67
"6 Months To Live"-11/23/68
"Alice's Birthday"-12/7/68
"Lawsuit"-1/4/69
"Hot Tip"-2/8/69
"New Bowling Ball"3/22/69
"Norton Moves In"-4/5/69
"The New Manager"-4/19/69

The Color Honeymooner episode I would most like to see "The Incredible World Of Ed Norton"-1/19/70, since it was a pilot featuring Ed Norton and also starred Al Lewis. I read it followed his daily life at home and in the sewer.

It's nice atleast to see MPI releasing those 70's specials we all have, but now with better quality with an offical release. Now that almost all those color episodes and specials are done, maybe a remastered release of "Lost Episodes" is around the corner? MAYBE!!! wasn't it suppose to be released back in 2005???

I just like to point out that "Life Upon The WIcked Stage" is shown on ALN. I have the DVD that proves this. MPI, due to musical clearance issues will probably NEVER release this episode.

The following episode is available for viewing at the Paley Center.....
TV Game Of The Week (Ralph's New TV) 10-20-62
Or at least it was when I was last there and viewed it.
I guess you'd need the Boss or Ziggy to smuggle out a copy.

I'd like to trade some of "Some of them that were'nt released" those mentioned on the DizzyDean list.

How do you guys obtain so many non-Classic 39 episodes? I have the Classic 39 and all 4 sets of the Color Honeymooners, but am oblivious to how to get some lost episodes and some really lost episodes.

Welcome to the lodge brother Wisenheimer:welcome: Woo! Woo! Although they are no longer in production, you can still purchase the Lost Episodes DVD's online. The price is a little steep but well worth it. Of course you can view many of these videos online. "Two Below" and "Ring Salesman" are online for instance.

"read that someone bought a rare missing episode on ebay but won't sell it because of a copyright! If there is a copyright, than how was it sold on ebay by a person, not related to the Gleason family."

Anyone have more information on the "Rare missing episode" sold on ebay that DizzyDean mentions?

Oh, and thanks for the Newbie welcome. I haven't been this welcomed since I went door to door selling all of my "Happy Housewife Helpers"
