Something that I was working on on the fan site, but recently I've tried to add a couple chapters and it doesn't seem to be working for me. I thought I would just post the rest up on here.

Chapter 1: Tony’s True Feelings

Tony stood and whistled at the stove as he prepared dinner. As happy and content as he might have sounded, it was all a cover up. Mona had taken Sam and Jonathan out camping for the week, which meant that Angela and Tony were alone, well, it was supposed to mean that. It had only been one day since every one had left, and already Angela had brought home this man named Tom Collins. The jealousy was eating away at him, but he couldn’t do anything about it. All he could do was stand there and act happy as he heard
the two laugh out there.

“Oh my God!” he heard Angela squeal. She sounded like an excited school girl. Soon enough, she burst through the kitchen door. “Tony!” she yelled with excitement.

Tony quickly turned and made sure that he kept a genuine smile on his face. After all, this was his best friend trying to tell him what she thought was the best news in the world. “What?” he asked as his eyes lit up.

Angela ran over to him and held out her hand. “Look!” she announced showing him the ring on her finger.

“Angela! I can’t believe it! You’re getting married!” he happily announced and then hugged her.

“Thank you Tony,” she said as she pulled away. He could see the tears of joy that had swelled up in her eyes. “I hope you don’t mind,” she said and then wiped her eyes. “But Tom wants to take me out tonight. We’re going to go have dinner and then maybe go down to the park or something,” she said.

“Of course not,” he said grabbing her shoulders. “Now you and the future groom go celebrate!”

“Thanks again Tony,” she said and then left.

Tony’s expression completely fell as he watched her leave the room. All he could do was stare with a deep longing. She was getting married. Angela Bower, was getting married. His boss who had become like a mother to his daughter, and the best friend that he had ever had, even more then that. Seeing that ring on her finger had deeply hurt him. It felt like some one had just kicked him in the stomach, and then had decided to go back for more once he was down on the ground, but he couldn’t show that. He loved nothing more then to see her happy. He wanted her to enjoy herself and to be happy. He always looked forward to hearing her laugh, but was always more then willing to led her a shoulder to cry on.

Tony sighed and sat down at the table. He hated seeing her marry some one else, but if it made her happy, he would support her. “I just wish I could make her happy,” he said to himself.

Chapter 2

Angela walked into the darkened house. It was around midnight when she walked in. Everything was quiet. She wanted to be sure that she didn’t wake Tony, so she headed straight upstairs and into her room. Closing the door behind her, she smiled. “Angela Collins,” she softly announced as she smiled at herself in the mirror. “Mrs. Angela Collins,” she repeated.

The next day, Tony walked down the stairs to find Angela sitting on the couch with different magazines and books scattered around on the table before her. There was an emptiness that seemed to hit him right then and there, but he swallowed it and went on. Besides, he couldn’t even possibly think about ruining this for her.

“Come on Angela, I just cleaned that off,” he teased.

Angela turned around. There was that smile, the one that he always looked forward to seeing on her. “Tony, I know you might not be into this, but could you come here for a minute? I want to show you something,” she said. The tone of her voice was still the same as it had been last night, an excited little school girl.

He knew that this wasn’t his department, but he figured he would humor her. “Alright, just for a minute,” he said and then sat down next to her on the couch.

“Here, what do you think of this?” she asked as she handed him the magazine. He looked down at it and then widened his eyes. He then quickly looked up at Angela and then back down at the picture. “Angela! That’s barely a shirt let alone a dress!” he announced. Angela rolled her eyes. “This one,” she said pointing to the opposite page. “Oh,” he said as he smiled up at Angela. “That makes more sense.”
\
“So, what do you think?” she asked.

“Beautiful,” he said. “But then again I’m sure that you would look perfect in any of these dresses,” he said unaware that he had let that slip out.

“You really think so?” she asked with her expression beginning to soften.

“I happen to think that you look good in white,” he said trying to cover up what he had just let slip out. He had always wanted to let her know how he had felt, but now was too late. He heard her softly laugh. She then simply laid the magazine back down onto the table and sighed. “I have always dreamed about the perfect wedding,” she said and then looked over at Tony. “I just wish I hadn’t wasted it on Michael,” she said.

“Was that really the perfect wedding that you had dreamed of?” he asked sounding some what surprised that she would say that.

“Well, no, in my dreams the groom was some one that would stay with me,” she said and then looked over at Tony and smiled. “But the beautiful wedding dress, the cake, the ballroom, the music, the dancing, it was all there. The only problem was that it was all fake. The romantic vows that he recited were all made up and fake,” she said.

“That was why I felt bad when Marie and I got married. Our wedding had a lot of guests and music, but it really was a very simple wedding. Her gown was handed down, and there was no ballroom. The cake was baked by one of her relatives. I had wanted to give her the wedding that she had always dreamed of, but I never had that much money,” he said.

“Sounds a lot better then a fancy celebration for a short marriage,” she said. There was silence that came over the room for a second.

“You know what would mean more then anything to me on my wedding?” she asked.

“What’s that?” he asked with a genuine curiosity.

“Just a simple, true, sincere promise that he would never leave me,” she said. Tony just watched her. In his mind he was shouting it. He would never even think of leaving her.

“One more thing,” she said snapping him out of his thoughts.

“What’s that?” he asked.

“I know she’s only thirteen, but do you think that Samantha would be my maid of honor?” she asked.

Tony beamed at the idea. “You’ll have to ask her, but I’m sure she would,” he said.

“Great,” Angela said.

“Just as long as you don’t put her in a puffy dress, then she won’t be afraid to tell you what she thinks about it,” he said.

“Don’t worry. I promise I won’t” she said and then continued to look through her pages of wedding dresses. He slowly got up. “I have to go do the dishes now,” he said just trying to find an excuse to get out of the room.

“Okay, thanks Tony,” she said.

“Anytime,” he said as he walked into the kitchen.

It was the third day “alone” without the kids. They were going to return home in two days. They had gotten a letter from Jonathan explaining to them how Mona was vowing that she would never go camping again and that he and Samantha better enjoy the time that their having now. Tony figured that it would probably be Samantha’s last year for going camping anyways. After the summer was over, she was going to start high school which would most likely alter her priorities.

Angela sat at the table blankly staring at the letter. “Something wrong there?” Tony asked. Angel slowly set the letter down and then turned to look at Tony. “Jonathan,” she stated. “I was so excited that I never thought about how Jonathan would feel about me getting married.”

Tony gave her a sympathetic look and then turned back to the cabinets as he put dishes away. “How did he take it when you would go on a date?” he asked.

Angela turned back around and rested her head on her hand. “He didn’t think much of it. Mother always told him that it would never last,” she said sounding annoyed. “I can’t wait to hear what she’s going to tell Jonathan about Tom,” she said.

“Maybe he’ll be happy for you,” Tony said.

Angela smirked at that. “Right,” she said. “Haven’t you ever seen how he is when ever Michael comes? He would never do anything to hurt that man and to hear that I would be replacing him would kill Jonathan.”

“But you’re not replacing him,” Tony said as he came and joined her at the table. “You are simply getting remarried.”

“I know that, but Jonathan would see it as a replacement,” she said and then looked down to reexamine the letter before her. She suddenly looked up and smiled at Tony. “He listens to you,” she said.

Tony’s eyes widened. “Hey, wait a minute Angela. What are saying here?” he asked getting nervous.

“I was thinking, maybe you could explain it to him. I know he won’t listen to me, but he might listen if it comes from some one else,” she said.

He did understand why she was asking him to tell Jonathan, he would feel the same way if he had to explain to Samantha that he was with a woman. The only problem was that he hated being the bringer of bad news. That was the only thing that he never wanted to do. But then again, this was for Angela. “Okay, okay, I’ll do it as soon as they all get home.”

Angela smiled at him. “Thank you Tony,” she said. Angela stood up and went over to the door to leave the room.

“Oh wait! Angela, what do want for dinner tonight?” he asked. Angela simply held up her hand. “Going out with Tom tonight,” they both said at the same time. Angela just laughed. “Yes,” she said and then left the room. As soon as walked out, the phone rang. “I got it!” Tony yelled as he made his way over to the phone and answered it.

“Hello?”

On the other end of the phone was Tom Collins, who was now sitting with a young girl, who was in her mid to later twenties. She sat behind him as she eagerly smiled. “Hey, is Angela still there?” he asked.

“Yeah,” Tony said, “You wanna talk to her?”

“No, just tell her that something came up and that I’m going to have to cancel tonight,” he said.

“Well, okay,” Tony said. He slowly hung the phone up and thought for a minute. He could just tell that something was wrong, but didn’t know what. “Angela!” he called out as he opened the door and stepped out into the living room.

“Yes?” she asked as she was putting her coat on.

“Angela, that was Tom, he had to cancel for tonight,” he said. He had hoped that she wouldn’t start asking a million questions as to how. The last thing he wanted to do was to start explaining something that he really didn’t know. Especially when he himself thought that something was suspicious. He looked up and saw Angela’s face drop.

“Why?” she asked.

Tony just shrugged. “He didn’t say.” Her face was full of disappointment that he couldn’t bare to see on her. “Hey, maybe he’s trying to make some surprise plans for the honeymoon,” he suggested hoping it would cheer her up.

“Wouldn’t that be nice,” she said starting to smile. She took her coat off and began to put it back into the closet.

“Hey wait, you still want to go out for dinner? I didn’t cook anything, remember?” he asked. He felt a little weird taking her out to dinner since she was engaged, but he also knew that this was just something as friends. It was in no way a date, he would like it to be, but it wasn’t.

“Okay, but let me drive, I know this great little place on the edge of town,” she said.

“You’re not gonna take me to this fancy done up little place and cost me a fortune are you?” he asked.

Angela looked over. She was a little surprised to hear that he was going to pay for it. “You were planning on paying for me too?” she asked.

“Hey, this might not be a date, but I am still the man,” he said as he walked over closer to the door.

“Ah, but I am you’re employer,” she said.

“Exactly, you shouldn’t have to pay me and then pay for my meal too,” he said.

“If you insist,” she said.

“I do,” he said. Tony then reached over and opened the door for her. As he followed her out of the house he kept on trying to think about why he could have sensed something wrong with Tom. He had met him, and of course he was a little jealous, but there was still something wrong.

Chapter 4: Catching Him

Tony and Angela sat in the casual, little restaurant across town. It was a simple, yet charming place that Tom had brought her to when they had first started dating. Tony had known this and had internally cringed. He carefully hid it from Angela, but he still had to wonder if she had noticed anything.

“I don’t know how I’m going to get through the next couple of months. I mean I’ve got to plan a wedding and we’re working on scoring this huge account,” Angela explained.

Tony sat there and contently stared as Angela answered some forgotten question that he had asked her. All he knew was that while she answered it, her face lit up, and that was all that really mattered to him at the moment. Although he enjoyed seeing her like this, he wanted badly to block out the real reason as to why she was so happy, but how could he? In a little bit he would have to stand there and smile as she walked down the aisle and into the arms of another man. Her genuine happiness at the moment was the only thing that really kept him from trying to interfere with the wedding. “You’ll find a way,” Tony said reassuring her.

“I don’t know,” Angela said and then took a sip of her drink. “I’ll start feeling like I’m playing favorites. When I work on my wedding I’ll feel like I’m letting my personal life interfere with my work, and when I spend time working I’ll feel like I’m putting my work before my marriage.”

“Hey, you’ve got me, Mona, Sam, and maybe even Jonathon to help out with the wedding if you need it. Everything’ll be…just…” he slowly trailed off. He stared off at the entrance way behind Angela. Tom Collins walked in with another woman on his arm. His heart sank. At that moment he wanted nothing more than to just kill him right then and there. Everything seemed to move into slow motion as he watched him cross the room and take his seat. There was no way that he could ever let that slime ball excuse for a man get away with this.

“Tony?” Angela asked. She had been watching him as he blankly stared for a small while now and was starting to get worried. “Tony? Something wrong?” she asked trying to get his attention.

Tony was finally brought back to where he was. He looked to Angela. There was no way that he could break her and tell her what he had seen. I thought I saw someone that I used to know,” he lied.

“Must have been some person to make you stare like that,” she commented.

Tony forced himself to relax. “Yeah well, he sorta showed me that he was tougher than me and that he had no problem reviewing that lesson with me.” It might have been a dumb lie, but anything was better than telling her the truth. All he needed was for her to buy into it. As soon as he could get her to believe him, the sooner he could get up and leave the table to go threaten his life without making Angela suspicious. “During high school I went out with his sister. She went in the next day and spread the rumor on how I tried to get her to go to bed with me.”

Angela slightly laughed. “That was a long time ago Tony. I don’t think he would still be mad at you over that. He must have realized somewhere down the line that it was all made up.”

“Hey,” Tony said. “You never come between an Italian girl and her family. They’re all just waitin for someone to.”

Angela leaned back against her chair. “Thank God I didn’t have you as a brother when I was in high school, probably would have only made things worse than they already were.”

Tony leaned forward. “Just because I’m not related to you don’t mean that I’ll let a guy get away with hurting you.” He watched as Angela just softly smiled. He waited a moment for her to say something, but she never did. He figured that now was the perfect time for him to go and see Tom. “Excuse me a moment, I’ll be right back.”

Angela just sat there and smiled to herself as he got up and left the table. The last thing that he had said made her happy. It was something that she had never really heard from a man before, and there were times where she needed more than anything to just hear someone say that to her.

Tony walked over to the other side of the room and stood behind Tom for a moment. “What do you think you’re doing?” Tony asked keeping his voice low so that to avoid bringing attention over to them.

Tom turned and widened his eyes.

“Come with me,” Tony said and then walked towards the bathroom. He stood there and waited for Tom to get there.

“What? Are you gonna go home and tell Angela what you saw?” Tom asked upon approaching Tony.

Tony ignored the sneer and went right on to what he had to say. “Damn it Tom! Angela has gone around so excited that she can barely sit still! You proposed to her and now, not even a week later and you’re already cheating on her!?”

Tom stepped up closer to try and intimidate Tony. “Hey, you listen here. I don’t have to answer to you. What I do is my business. Besides, who do you think Angela is going to believe? Me, her fiancée, or you, her little house boy?”

Tony grabbed him by the collar. “No! You listen! I don’t care if she believes me or not, but if she comes home with a single tear that you caused then you had better take a good picture of your face because there is no plastic surgeon out there good enough to be able to put it back together after I’m through with it.” Tony stopped for a moment and then let go of his collar. He started to walk away, but paused and sighed as he turned back. “Maybe its just me, but I don’t even see how you could begin to think to cheat on Angela.”
