View Full Version : Trying to remember a segment involving a trucker...

I have seen quite a bit of UM over the years, but only saw this one pretty early into the first Spike run. I'm a little fuzzy on the details, but it concerned groups of people on a number of different occasions being chased down by a crazed trucker in the woods. I can't remember if he actually ended up killing anyone, but it was quite a surprising story.

Sorry if my description isn't adequate; I was just reminded of the case today and thought I would try to identify it. I never got to see the original version and would love to, so I suppose finding out just which it is may be a start.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I think you may have two cases mixed up.

Jay Durham was attacked by a trucker on an interstate highway on his motorcycle and wound up a cripple.

There was also a man who drove his semi into the woods. No one knew why, but he encountered several people and they said he was behaving strangely and seemed out of his head, but I don't remember them saying he attacked or hurt anyone. I think his body was found years later. But it was an extremely odd case, with that big rig driving through the woods like that.

The general consensus is he had some kind of breakdown. I can't remember exactly hwo they determined he died, if he did.

Indy, the 2nd case that XCalibur describes here, relates to Devin Williams. That might be the other one you are looking for.

Ahh, yes, it does appear to be the Williams case. It was indeed very bizarre (and, I suppose I should note, was made into quite an action segment for the Spike re-airing; nothing unusual there, I'd say).

I thank the two of you very much for your time and prompt responses.
