That could have been done a LITTLE bit better-My choices-1)"The Wealthy Landowner"-In this one,Eb writes to his female pen pal that he's a wealthy landowner,to impress her,when she writers to him that she's a rich sophisticate-neither of them are what they say they are-she's just a chauffer's not rich daughter,but only told him that to impress him,.Her father,the chauffer,lashes out angrily at her,and,I don't know why,Eb lashes out at Oliver.It would have been a better ending if the chauffer and daughter had arrived at the Douglas farm,and both Eb and his pen pal confronted each other,(with a little prodding from Oliver,Lisa and her father)and told each other the truth. 2)"Oliver's Schoolgirl Crush"-In this one,Oliver is teaching at Hooterville High when a girl(much to her jealous boyfriend's dismay and anger),falls in love with him.This leads to a heated confrontation between her obnoxious boyfriend(played by the late Rusty Hamer ,who was FAR better as Rusty on CBS'"Make Room for Daddy/The Danny Thomas Show"),in which he blames Oliver for neglercting Lisa.It would have been FAR better if Oliver and Lisa had shown the kid and his girlfriend,that they were happily married.Know of any OTHER episodes that could have played better?Feel free to post.
