And,I've heard, that on his tombstone,is engraved "That's All,Folks"-appropriately so,a fitting tribute to one of the greatest voices in animated cartoons .All of the greats are gone;Daws Butler,Don Messick, and,THE greatest voices in the history of animated cartoons,Mel Blanc. No wonder he was once called "The man of a million voices".

And,in addition to his memorable cartoon characters,he ALSO was on "The Jack Benny Show",(as many characters, all live-action)the voice of Casanova the parrot in 1958's second season Perry Mason episode "The Case of the Perjured Parrot"(It's Different from the book,(which I have,)because in the book Casanova the parrot is really foul-mouthed),and the voice of Sam the parrot on a very funny first season black and white episode of "Gilligan's Island",and on "Dobie Gillis"(in an early 1959 episode with Warren Beatty),"Dennis The Menace",(the CBS series,NOT the cartoon),and as a cabbie in a black and white episode of "The Beverly Hillbillies"

He could rightfully be called a man of 1,000 voices.
