View Full Version : "THE NEW WKRP IN CINNCINATI" treky 05-30-2010, 03:39 AM how many remember this? 70s show watcher 05-30-2010, 04:26 AM i do and it wasant very good catlover79 05-30-2010, 07:52 PM I do! It aired in first run syndication and it aired in the Cleveland market on Saturday nights. I did watch it when it was originally on but haven't seen it in years. treky 05-30-2010, 08:47 PM it also was on saturday nights in philadelphia, then in the 2nd season it was on VH1. MickeyMac 05-30-2010, 10:15 PM i do and it wasant very good Another reason why they should not do remakes. catlover79 05-31-2010, 01:08 AM Another reason why they should not do remakes. True, but it was still great to see the Big Guy, Herb, Les and Dr. Fever (played by their original portrayers!) on a regular basis again. That was probably the only really good thing about the show! steevo 07-02-2010, 08:57 PM I was disappointed with it too. The new cast just didn't gell together like the old cast did. catlover79 07-02-2010, 09:47 PM I was disappointed with it too. The new cast just didn't gell together like the old cast did. Not to mention there was a lot of cast turnover in just two seasons. Of course, on the first WKRP show, the original cast remained intact for all four seasons. DJM77 09-21-2010, 05:31 PM Another reason why they should not do remakes. I agree. But at least it was called The New WKRP In Cincinnati. Nowadays it seems like all of the remakes have the exact same title as the original show. I did used to watch it. It came on Saturday mornings in St. Louis. I think later on it switched to being aired in the afternoon. treky 09-21-2010, 10:32 PM True, but it was still great to see the Big Guy, Herb, Les and Dr. Fever (played by their original portrayers!) on a regular basis again. That was probably the only really good thing about the show! also, Jennifer (just in the pilot though) Marvo301 11-25-2010, 05:28 PM I think a lot of fans (myself included) didn't want to even imagine WKRP without Andy, Baily, Venus, and Jennifer much less see it on their TV every week. In my mind the entire original cast is still working together at that 5000 watt radio station we all know and love! |
