I checked on Wikipedia and American Idol has apparently become the #1 ratings leader for the sixth consecutive year. I hope this is not true. i and several other family members wanted a different show (either NCIS or Dancing with the Stars) to be the new #1 ratings leader. But no, stupid American Idol emerged as ratings champion again! I officially despise American Idol, and I officially despise the Fox network. Remember that moratorium I was gonna place on watching American Idol? Well, you should place a similar moratorium on your households.

Can anything stop American Idol from even being the #1 in the Nielsen ratings? The fact that it is always a midseason replacement every season and that it is on the FOX network may be a factor. I wish somebody moved that show to another network like NBC, then I wouldn't hate it as much.

A message to all other network TV shows: Make American Idol's #1 ratings streak stop once and for all. American Idol canNOT top the ratings for all eternity. Here is what a cast member of a TV show from one of the big 3 networks would say:

"Our show is going to END American Idol's #1 Nielsen Ratings streak, that's our commitment to you."

Bump.

Finally, a program other than American Idol is the most watched (#1) U.S. primetime series in the Nielsen Ratings during the 2011-12 TV season. NBC's NFL Sunday Night Football has officially ended the seven-season-long #1 Nielsen Ratings streak of FOXBC's American Idol.

It still says something that a script show can't be #1 these days.
