Just ask erstwhile platonic roomie Joyce DeWitt, who copped a plea today in her DUI case.



The TV vet was busted last Fourth of July for allegedly indulging in a bit more than fireworks. She pleaded no contest via her attorney to misdemeanor driving with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08 percent or higher; an additional charge of driving under the influence was dismissed.



The TV vet was sentenced to three years' probation, fined $510 and ordered to take an alcohol-education class.

Since this is Joyce DeWitt's first offense, three years probation seems fair to me. Hopefully she won't do it again. I don't think it's fair to compare Joyce to Lindsey Lohan since Lindsey been in trouble lots of times and Joyce only once.

Personally, I think that is too lenient a punishment. On the other hand, I can only hope and pray that she's learned her lesson and won't do it again.

I agree. She will earn the cost of the fine within 15 minutes at an autograph convention. Also, what a random number. Not $500, but...$510.

Exactly. They could've at least thrown in community service or something.
