As a member of the Pussycat Dolls Nicole Scherzinger had an unfair advantage. Dancing is part of her regular job.

I agree. It was such BS. Trained dancers have no business being on the show. It was so obvious they were pulling for her to win, too. Evan is the true winner of the season.

Oh, is that was she was doing? This looks like a really BAD cross between Moulin Rouge and Madonna.

She re-did that "dance" tonight. She really is one of the biggest attention whores on the planet. There's no other possible reason as to why she keeps embarrassing herself publicly.

"Dancing With the Stars" Needs to Stop Casting Ringers
by Chris Harnick
posted May 26th 2010

This may be a silly question, but isn't the point of "Dancing With the Stars" to cast celebrities who have virtually no dance experience and pair them with professional dancers?

The fun of this season was found in moments like Buzz Aldrin dancing to the Star Wars theme and Kate Gosselin trying to show emotion while doing something she calls dancing.

What was the point in casting Nicole Scherzinger, a singer and dancer known for her time with the Pussycat Dolls?

"Dancing" used to be a show about the journey of the stars. That's why it was so fun to see Niecy Nash improve, dance after dance and cookie after cookie, while she was on the show.

However, was there ever any doubt in anybody's mind that the finale would be Scherzinger versus Evan Lysacek?

From here on out, "Dancing" needs to stop casting ringers like Scherzinger. But, they probably won't. If I wanted to watch professional dancers, I'd be watching "So You Think You Can Dance?"

I wanted to see celebrities struggle and then either triumph or fail.

Scherzinger's dances were never anything but good. It got boring. I was consistently more entertained by Pamela Anderson's va-va-voom moves and Gosselin's wooden facial expressions.

Scherzinger's performances were met with eye-rolls.

Looking back at the list of past winners and runner-ups it's filled with athletes and pop stars. It's very telling.

For example, let's look at past pop stars: Joey Fatone came in second during his season, Mel B. during her season.

But, it's not just pop stars who are ringers: athletes also do well in the competition because they know how their bodies move. They have to, it's their jobs!

Emmit Smith won his season.
Warren Sapp was the runner-up in his and Kristi Yamaguchi was the champion during her season.

How is this fair to the Susan Luccis and the Steve Guttenbergs? They have to work even harder to prove themselves, yet the judges and America keeps voting for the ringers.

One thing is for sure, as long as ringers like Scherzinger keep getting cast, the competition will remain unfair.

You'd think she'd have something better to do - LIKE BEING THERE FULL-TIME FOR HER 8 KIDS!!!!! You're also right that she is a major attention whore. Jon looks better and better than her every day!!
