Is E.R. currently airing in syndication on any cable network? i know it's not on TNT anymore, but is it still on ION or any other cable station? does anybody know if any network has plans on acquiring the rights to this show? who owns the rights?

ER ended it's 10 year run on TNT earlier this year. It's currently not on any network. And that's a shame.

I wonder why no network has picked up the rights to this amazing series. I hope ER doesn't go the way of "Hill Street Blues", "The Practice" and "NYPD BLUE" and basically vanish from syndication forever... Those shows have so rarely been seen in syndication. I don't think "The Practice" or "NYPD BLUE" have run since they left FX, and has HSB ever run in syndication?

ER isn't running anywhere :(

I'm hoping USA gets the rights eventually, because they seem to know how to treat shows well!

I'm just shocked with the thousands of channels out there that there isn't one for medical dramas. ER, House, Grey's Anatomy, St. Elsewhere, etc... even throw medical comedies in such as Scrubs! Call it 'Diagnosis' or something!!

HSB did air on WGN in the 1980's. I don't know if it's aired anywhere recently though.

I know it also had a very short run on bravo in the late 90's/early 2000's as well, but nothing substantial.

ER is a legendary series and should be airing every day. I hope it finds a new home in syndication in 2012!!

ER never did well in re-runs because it is so highly serialized. Shows with stand-alone episodes (like Law & Order) do best in syndication.
