Starting with the fourth season, Harry and Lucy become much closer especially after Lucy breaks her leg in season five. This seemed to be a change that resulted when Bob Carroll Jr. and Madelyn Davis returned to write for Lucy.

I'm not sure Harry every got through a full episode without at least being annoyed at something Lucy did, but I can think of a few offhand where they worked together to thwart somebody. In "Lucy, Part-Time Wife," Harry way plying Lucy with alcohol to try to talk her into a scheme to fend off an old flame. In "Lucy at the Drive-In Movie," Lucy enlisted Harry in a scheme to spy on Kim and her date at a drive-in movie. In "Lucy and the Used Car Dealer," Lucy and Harry scheme to get a dishonest dealer to buy back the lemon he sold Kim and Craig. In "Lucy's Tenant," Harry and Kim help Lucy in a scheme to oust an unwanted tenant. In "Lucy and the Wealthy Widow," Lucy, Harry and Kim scheme together to get a banker to lend money to the agency.
