NBC cancels "Mercy"

NBC has put the medical drama "Mercy" out of its misery.

The long-struggling Wednesday night freshman drama most recently pulled a 1.0 rating among adults 18-49 in the 9 p.m. hour.

It was never really given a fair chance. It was up against American Idol. What did they expect? NBC should have given it another chance.
