I hear Fox is canceling The Wanda Sykes Show after one season. The late-night talk show started off strong but tumbled in the ratings as the season went on and fell below the performance of predecessor MadTV in the Saturday 11 PM hour.

She is so obnoxious, annoying and not funny. One less idiot on the air.

...that Wanda's ratings were eventually lower than the series she replaced, "TALKSHOW WITH SPIKE FERESTEN" (2006-2009).

She could have staged a better show- the sketches could have been more "polished", and there could have been more "entertainment" than her extended monologues and "roundtable" discussions. It was interesting, though...considering most of the opinions expressed on her program didn't exactly match those of the "conservative" conglomerate that scheduled her on Fox in the first place.

What does Fox have in mind for next season- an hour's worth of "selected" repeats from their Sunday night schedule, or those series that failed this season?

Wanda is one of the most hilarious stand-up comedians. I love her stand-up DVDs, but I've never tuned in to her actual show.

Wanda Sykes is best taken in small doses. She great as a talk show guest or as a supporting character on a sitcom. But an hour of Wanda once a week is just too much and as Mickey pointed out her act becomes annoying and obnoxious.
