Ok the dilemma is that me and my husband just got married a week ago and we moved to my home town because my husband got laid off from his job about 6 months ago. And I have a very stable job here I work at the hospital in town as the cook there. But the dilemma is that four days ago my husbands former workplace the place he got laid off from called and told him they have a couple positions available and to come in for an interview. My husband wants to go to the interview but I am not overly excited about this because what if he takes the job there and even if they say the job is long term they don't know that for sure I'm scared that down the road they won't be able to afford all the new workers there hiring back and they will have to lay off again. Also we just bought a house here in my home town and I don't want to give that up after living in the house for a week and it's not like my husband doesn't have a job here he is working part time at Subway and he did apply at Wal-Mart and passed the test it's just they don't have a position open just yet Wal-Mart said in about a couple weeks they might need some night stockmen. And there is also a business here in my home town that is hiring right now and my husband is applying. But the thing is my husband said whoever calls first is the job he is taking and I'm scared that's going to be his former work place and I don't want to move then a few months down the road the business doesn’t get the work they thought they were going to get and end up having to lay people off because they can't afford to pay all the workers. And I don't really want to give up our new home because unless we sell our house we can't afford to by another home and I really don't want to live in an apartment right now? So I am just wanting to see what your guys opinion on this situation would be.

A very good Q as that would certainly make a difference.

how far away is the other job?

the other job is 1 and half to 2 hours away and it's a 6 day a week job so if he would drive back and forth so we could keep the house he would only get to be home for one day and he couldn't stay the night because he would work the next day.

You just have to have faith in God and trust that everything will work out. It all will eventually and it will be all good. Congrats on your marriage by the way!!!

If you are doing okay where you are now I suggest stay there. If your husband, in taking his old job back would improve your life, go for it.

Good luck

Yeah I have really been praying about it but my gut feeling is telling me he might get it because he had his interview today and he told me the guy that interviewed my husband Jeremy before Jeremy got laid off this guy tried to get Jeremy to buy his house. The big thing about this situation is that we well actually I bought this house I had more money saved to buy a house, it's just we barely got to live in this house for a week and now if we do move we have to sell it and the previous owner of this nice house had it on the market for 2 years and that worries me if we can't sell it then we won't have enough money to buy another house. So if we do move I really don't want to live in an apartment. But like you said sunshinefizzy I just have to trust that whatever happens is how God wants it to be and he does everything for our good and it's not that the job is bad it's just I wish somehow we could keep our house and Jeremy could do the job also but they haven't offered him the job yet there are other people who applied too so whatever happens happens. But other then this situation our Marriage is going very well so far so thanks for the wedding wishes.
