Q#1 Wally brings a 2nd date but Kris & Rick have already fixed him up with Ginger. When Ginger finds out abt Wally's 2nd date she goes bananas, and starts running after Wally with (I think) a frying pan screaming I'LL SWEETIE PIE YOU lol!

Because she really had one! As Rick's bios seemed to indicate, she had a hot fuse. And in the later yrs she did a lot to bust Rick's chops.

So I don't think there was a HUGE amt of acting on Kris's part when it came to having a temper - but it really seemed to blossom FULL FORCE in the late 60s and 70s. Rick & Kris's marriage wa son the rocks for a long time. And her relationship with her kids when they were growing up was a very long way from great.

I just watched with commentary from The Shout O&H dvd one of the episodes Dave directed, the first one and his commentary on it and about directing shows why can't I think of what it was. It was only 2 weeks ago.

But I do remember one episode he directed was the The Rush Party or something like that, when the house was trying to rush a football player, and planning ot have a party for him, but they were doing it a week earlier than rush week was suppose to start. That one stands out to me, because at the start of the episode, Ozzie addresses the audience saying that He and Harriet were goign to sit this one out, they are going to let the younger generation take the show for the night, with the show revolving around Rick and the fraturnity, and Dave directing. Aside from that opoening statement Ozzie wasn't seen in the episode. And it could be the only episode Harriet was not seen all.

As to the discussion question, I think Kris was written as very young, (which she was) immature and acting out in that way. She was always getting upset over silly little things. Making big deals out of everything, acting irrational, pouting. Rick in the show was written as very passive with Kris. Perhaps Kris' temper in the shows, was due to her be written more as a kid than a married woman.

Contrast to Dave and June. June was written much more mature, sure she was a bit older than Kris, but you also got a sense of sophistication with June as well. Dave and June seemed more equal and sensible.

By the way, have any of you ever seen the episode I call Kris the Helpless Female? After taking a psychology class, Kris gets in her head that she has to stop doing any little jobs around the house that may be considered a husbands job and be more feminine if she wants to keep her husband.
It's a pretty funny episode.
