A short time ago today we posted a round-up of news that was gleaned from the Warner Bros.Home Video Televisiion and Animation Live Online Chat held last night by our friends at the Home Theatree Fourm. During the event, "ChrisH" asked whether there were any plans for more Growing Pains, which fans have long wanted following the 2006 release of Season 1. Warner replied with this nice surprise!

Good news on the Growing Pains front...we are looking at a potentional release for 2011.

Later on in the chat a newcomer ("Matty":) who missed the earlier question-and-answer asked "any more Growing Pains"? and Warner shortly replied, " We answered these earlier. Yes to Growing Pains Season 2:, verifying the earlier info and making it sound firm than the earlier worlding suggested. This is still not a certainty, though, so please keep in it can still fall through. We're hopeful and optimistic, though, and of course we're glad to pass it along to uoru readers who missed the chat.

Wow, if we get a season every five years we'll have the entire series by ~2036. What could possibly make them wait so long? I highly doubt that in the last year or so sales of S1 went through the roof. At least if the show was in syndication people might see it and decide that they want to own it.

That'll be great if they release more seasons of this show! I really miss being able to watch it, since they don't show the re-runs anymore. :(

Like I said in 05 and 08: It will eventually happen. I also said that about Night Court & WKRP - and it happened. But for GP, it's a long time. Still ready to buy it - it's my ALL-TIME most anticipated season of ANY show.
