I LOVED it! Funniest SNL they've had in a very long time. I especially liked CSI: Sarasota and that Census sketch at the end.

I was really hoping they would do one. They could have done some really funny with that.

I totally forgot she was going to be the host, and I don't always think to watch it anyway... I'll have to see what video of the show I can track down... I think the Macgruber skits are hilarious, I'll have to find that one especially (I'm not going to see the Macgruber movie though).

Wow, CSI Sarasota? That's close to where I live, I gotta see this stuff... and I'll definitely keep an eye out for when they re-run the show!

Well heck, it looks like the episode (at least most of it) is posted here (http://www.hulu.com/watch/147989/saturday-night-live-betty-white#s-p1-so-i0) at hulu ... the video is 46 minutes in length... I'll definitely check it out...

I saw all of it.

And I expected that they would do the "Lawrence Welk" sketch just before they aired it...and they did!

Betty White played The Meyrl Sister and Junice was there talking about living upstairs when she's with her mother.

Betty was absolutely brilliant last night on SNL! She knocked the opening monologue out of the park, which is hard to do for most stars! I loved the "Delicious Dish" radio show about Betty's muffins, and it was wonderful to see Ana Gasteyer and Molly Shannon return! Betty does raunch with such style! I was thrilled to see so many former female cast members return, just to honor Betty hosting the show! Way to go, Betty!!! So very proud of you!

Yeah, Betty was very, very good and it was gratifying to see the audience's obvious love for her.

I laughed at most of the skits. Thought they might have overdone the "isn't it funny that an old lady is profane?" theme a bit; the 1904 skit was the worst in that regard. But I loved the CSI and Census and NPR skits. Betty makes just about anything she's in enjoyable. :)

Betty is ratings gold for SNL :D

http://tvbythenumbers.com/2010/05/09/mea-culpa-saturday-night-all-right-for-betty-white-as-snl-laps-nascar/50881

The Betty White hosted episode of Saturday Night Live scored a preliminary 8.8 household rating in the 56 largest metered markets, and a preliminary 5.1 rating with adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with Local People Meters. Those were the best SNL numbers since the episode on November 1 2008 scored a preliminary 9.0 household rating in the 56 metered markets.

Betty ROCKS. She did a great job - now SNL should get Rue to host!! :D

Watch it!? I was looking forward all week to it. I knew she'd be wonderful. She's got close to 60 yrs on the tube so she's a pro. The muffin sketch was a bit risque and bawdy but I was laughing till my ribs ached. The ninety minutes flew by like it was 5. I love Betty. Always have. Still a live wire at 88, God Bless her. She's awesome.

I loved her monologue the best. That rocked, especially her bit about Facebook. "If I want to contact my old friends, I have to use a Ouija board!"

I also liked when she said that she didn't know what Facebook was when she first heard about it and when she found out what it was about, she thought it was a major waste of time.

And that, in her day, when two people "poked" each other, they actually did it to each other, usually in a barn.

Which is something that can't be said about most current SNL -- in fact, it's been years since I've said that.

It was great seeing Molly, Ana, Maya, Tina and Amy back. I really miss Maya -- she was really funny and really hot.

I agree, but don't forget Rachel Dratch. I always liked her a lot and she was pretty good in that CSI: Saratoga skit. :)

I feel bad for Rachel Dratch. She left SNL to take a role on 30 Rock with Tina Fey. But the producers decided to cast Jane Krakowski instead and Rachel only ended up making a guest appearance in at least one episode.

I was watching the original "Debbie Downer" sketch and no one, not even Rachel herself, could keep a straight face during that one.

Was that the one when Lindsay Lohan hosted the show and she and a bunch of high school (or college) friends went to Disneyland? The scene took place at a Disney restaurant, and it was great, everyone was killing themselves trying to hold it in, they couldn't keep from laughing at Debbie's lines, and Rachel herself had a hard time getting through it.

There is actually a campaign under way right now to get Carol Burnett to host SNL! That would be legendary!!

That would be great. It would be even better if they could have Tim Conway do a skit or two with Carol.

That would be ironic, because in the early years of SNL, breaking up during an on-air sketch was considered forbidden and frowned upon. That and if a sketch was too over the top, it would be dismissed as "That's Carol Burnett."

Of course, SNL has had several skits fall apart on air due to laughter in recent years.

Jane is a much better fit for the role than Rachel, so I can understand why they replaced her....but i think they should've given her another minor role or something, even if it was just temporary.

SNL is on NBC must-not-see TV. That said, it's unfortunate "big brother" had to censor a little old lady.

Why not make it a Carol Burnett Show reunion and have Tim Conway, Vicki Lawrence, and Lyle Waggoner all join Carol on SNL!

No, I didn't watch Betty White. I haven't watched SNL in years. Probably 1982 was the last time I tuned in to watch the whole show, although I catch a few of the musical guest performances every once in a while.

The best way to watch SNL these days is to record it and watch it the next day.

If a sketch doesn't grab me within the first minute, I skip through it.

I can watch a 90 minute SNL in around 45 minutes...or less.

I loved it, especially the Macgruber skits with Betty as the Grandmother, as well as her opening monologue and the digital short with the cast singing the Golden Girls theme to her. She was hysterical with the death metal tune.
