Sorry I can't help on Mickey Sholdar and/or Rory O'Brien today, but Mickey Sholdar appeared in at least one other Screen Gems show in 1962.

In the "Route 66" episode originally airing November 30, 1962, called "Hey Moth, Come Eat the Flame," Sholdar played the son of an alcoholic piano player (Harry Guardino) in St. Louis' Gaslight Square (in those days, a very hip, Greenwich-Village-like area near downtown).

Tod and Buz, of course, intervene and help save the day.

It featured some of Gaslight Square's actual entertainers (look for the conga player "Percy" in a scene midway through the show. He was the conga player for a popular jazz group called Quartette Tres Bien.), and also shows scenes filmed at the Chase-Park Plaza Hotel and the former Rock Hll Quarry.

Don't know if Sholdar really played kit drums or piano, but he acquitted himself nicely when playing both during parts of the episode.

I did a search on the boys and think this may be Mickey Sholdar's facebook page : https://www.facebook.com/mickey.sholdar

I also think this may be Rory O'Brien today.http://www.vietworldkitchen.com/rory_obrien/political-science-1-assignments.html

Yes, Mickey Sholdar was quite big in the golf game. He even consulted on the film "Babe" about the famous female golfer. I spoke with him but he never mentioned studying poltical science! Very cool! Yes that is Rory O'brien's wife's webpage. I spoke with him also. He is a political science professor. Funny since both played the sons of a Congressman! Both were extremely gracious when I contacted them.
